Hi, I have knit the capulet blouse by Fabel knitwear and was also confused with the gauge. I ended up going down one whole needle size to meet gauge🤷🏼‍♀️. But once I figured this out knitting it was fine. On a different note, I am also a cool summer type but sometimes feel a bit confused about yarn colors that would suit me like purple, red or brown. Could you make a video giving some yarn color options for each Color type and why it would suit the season? (I know you already have a similar video but maybe make one with more “complicated” colors☺️?

Ooh I'll be curious to hear how you like the Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk. Have heard mixed verdicts on whether it's next to skin soft.

How does graying hair affect what your season is? I have dark hair but the gray is starting to take over!

I really love the idea of autumnal cashmere top. i actually have a Cardiff Cashmere in my stash, waiting for the right project to come. And seeing yours inspo photo I can see it in my wardrobe :D I would only make mine with a bit more positive ease, something like a semi-batwing top? Not really a batwing, but a bit wider straps. About weather - we have another heat wave in Poland now, over 30 deg Celcius, so about 90F. I thought that in the middle of August it will be more autumnal weather, but nope, not yet.

I love hearing about this book and your design process!

I think you could include them and note that they are not tested. Especially when it's a free pattern, as there are so little free patterns in bigger sizes! I know I wouldn't mind giving feedback like it was a test knit if I were to knit it. If you mention in your note that feedback is welcome, that way you might get it tested anyway (but then without a deadline).

It’s really interesting to hear your design process because i don’t really see designers mentioning it, especially in podcasts. Definitely include the extra sized and mention they’re untested! Also, love the autumnal top, it’s super cute, especially in that pink!!

I’m looking forward to the release of your first pattern. I do think that you should release the larger sizes and just make a note that they haven’t been test knit. Perhaps someone will come across the pattern on ravelry when it’s released and want to help you with testing those larger sizes.

No shame in taking psych meds! I’m on lifelong meds and it’s worth it to stay well. Where I live stays in the 60s most of the hot days, definitely has perks! Means I can wear wool all year round.

I’m not a knitter (I crochet) but I am plus size and I have run across patterns that have the 4x and 5x sizes that were not tested but are still included. Usually the pattern designer will note that those sizes are untested. I do think you should include those additional sizes but with a note that they have not been tested.

Currently I have waaaay too many wips. An Olive sweater and a Chunky Dahlia for my toddler, a Kuutar top, Concha, and Leela top for myself. Thr Concha and Leela are both almost done, but the Kuutar is kicking my butt and I just had to rip out 5 rows of the lace 😅

I'm from South Arkansas and agree with you completely on wearing slightly thicker/partially wooly tanks and camis nearly year around. They're a great layering piece and a way to stay cozy but not too hot during all but the midsummer.

If you didnt get enough plus size testers Im generally a 2-3xl and down to hop on a couple days late as I have suitable yarn. I have a 54" bust.

Hooray for summer knits! I live in central Texas and it's rarely cold enough for me to be knitting cozy winter sweaters or using a lot of wools. I love tee patterns and yarns with blends of cotton, linen, viscose, or silk.

Please do not showcase patterns that are not size inclusive.

We really should bring back fitted sweaters! Oversized doesn't flatter everyone. I mostly look floppy with it. That's why I like vintage sweaters and designers like Fabel Knitwear so much. Apart from it being a trend since pretty much the 80's (with some exceptions in the 2000's), oversize doesn't require much knowledge about shaping, so it's pretty beginner friendly and forgiving. I guess that's one reason for it being predominant.

Just discovered you yesterday. Looking forward to you tank, unfortunately couldn't sign up for testing. I find your taste and opinions very similar to mine. I also prefer thin needles, especially for summer knits, and it takes time to find patterns with <28 stitches! Aldo I can't hear Petit knit anymore, though I'm just 1 year into knitting. Thank god I found another CZcamsr who won't shower me in endless PK works. I normally just skip anything with that name in the preview. Thanks for your thoughts and your job ❤

Ha ha ha I had such a laugh with your jokes, they really make you stand out as a podcaster. You can be very proud, it's a big achievement designing a garment! And I would love to help you with this testknit, but am leaving for a summer holiday in a week. Will be back end of august. If this is workable, timing wise, let me know! I'm guessing I'd apply for a size M. Oh and color advise, well what would you think of the merino in unicorn purple, lavender blue or pearl grey? Fennel seed seems fun too, but I have no idea what this color would look like in real life. Ice blue is also beautiful but might be too 'bright' for you? OMG I really need to see the limestone color! It sounds like the perfect neutral color!!
