what did you mean when you said you were at valve float before you hit 40 mph?
Your reading the caliper wrong. It's not .021 or 21 thousands, .033, or 33 thousands, .042 or 42 thousands. It's 210 thousands, 330 thousands and 420 thousands of a inch.
So why put a torque converter on at all? Just run it with a Cheetah clutch and straight chain to the back wheel?
so by applying this shim does this give you more torque or more top speed ?

The problem with the Scramblers is the front end is extremely light, making it almost impossible to keep the front end down. But yes, leaning forward will help, but might only get you so far. At least he didn’t get hurt though.
Go up a step hill, half way up let off the gas.....Yep that is what happens when you don't know what your doing.

Why did u keep gasing it while its front end was pooing up just let it roll back or let off the gas untill u can gas it again

I bet you couldn't.I've been there and seen that hill (its at Indian Ridge HM trail).Video doesn't do that hill justice.It is extremely steep.I did see a guy on a dirt bike make it to top.Other riders he was with didnt make it,they had to turn around halfway up.Nobody on an atv dared to try it!!
+Francis Michael This is that hill at the very end of the trail right outside the entrence to the main camp place? If so I made it up that hill on my YFZ 450 and Sportsman 500. It was just all about momentum on the sportsman, but the yfz just floated up it.
+Francis Michael had been up it once already, that would have been the second time. Couldn't keep the front end down. Had to feather the throttle to try to keep it down, and well, it lost momentum.

mw4205 It's significantly higher than $100 a year here. Both for my ATV, and my boat.
CCWSig you need to shop around. A lot depends on age too but I got a range from $248 to $975 a year for 2 atvs with $50 deductible. Had to call around and get quotes from 7 different agencies. I went with Erie Insurance group who also has my Auto.
That's it ? Its got to go way up when you crash. I mean atv's are high risk for damages

You cant hold yourself forward of the bars while you are climbing a steep hill if you are standing on the floorboards. Putting your knee on the seat allows you to easily use your leg muscles to hold your body forward, and you are already half way off the machine in the case it still rolls over.
Y is it that ever hill climb ends with seeing the guy sitting flat on the seat!? Get your ass up and one knee one the seat and lean over those bars!
