I really like 2076 with the shared bottom anglespo I'm thinking to put v-neck front and back also I would want to eliminate that seam which is usually a sign of something not so expe😅nsive so that would have to you have to think about that I'm an architect so I'm thinking

I don't know why they did the jean jacket 8474, and I was surprised you did not mention how out of proportion the pockets look , even thou they are optional ..and they could have done it in a different fabric, it might have been more appealing... Love the shirtdress style ,not the wide sleeves ....I would do the sleeveless. I have way too many shirt dress patterns, one of my favorite style dress

I had a pair of jeans with the v shaped yolk in the front. They were very, very flattering.

I like Norris’ patterns but have no guy to sew for. I’ve only seen coin pockets on the right side. Maybe he is left handed.

2085 would look great in white over tan or dark skin. I just can’t do back zippers anymore.

The Mimi G patterns look like great patterns for going out for drinks or dinner styles. I love 9995, I already have similar shorts or I would have bought it. I feel like several of the summer tops don't require any pattern because they are basically squares or tubes. I already have a camp shirt pattern for my husband, but if you were just starting to sew menswear 9960 would be a great wardrobe builder.

I have very narrow shoulders so I loved the 80s shoulder pads, but if you had wide shoulders you ran the risk of looking like a football player. I had a camisole with shoulder pads which balanced out my figure. I'm not finding many of these patterns exciting, maybe because I've seen most of this stuff before or because my life is very casual.

Nice selection. Thanks for sharing. I haven't sewn in awhile, trying to get back into it. Use to buy fabric from Hancock Fabrics, they shut down some years ago, now Walmart has stopped selling fabric, only fabric quarters. Thanks for sharing.

8509 looks like she's a little girl dressing up as a ballerina.

I don't see much that's different from what I have already. 8505 is cute with short sleeves, but I foresee bra/bust issues with that one.

I love the color blocking and I actually like most of the patterns in this release.

I am impressed that McCalls appear to have used "regular" and "plus sized" models in their release this time. That is a real step forward. As for the collection itself, there's actually very little there that I like for me personally but I can see why other people might like the various designs. The main thing I don't care for is the use of so much colour blocking - if there's one thing I find unappealing it's colour blocking. However, I do realise that you can simply make the garment in a single colour and let the design lines speak for themselves.

The top of S9958 is cute. But that skirt is not it.

The first pattern is good. No darts or zip. I could make several of these and get through summer nicely! I like boat neck collars and would cut that in. So glad the vintage patterns are coming back...fun tip.....I discovered recently that you can could those long zip ties for boning.

Ooohhh, I adore the dress with the gorgeous neckline by Alicia Grace. If you were unsure about making the neckband/cross chest piece, you could always insert a skintone net section at the shoulders/bust area and stitch the fabric onto the net. I am not sure If I explained that very well. Either way, it is a gorgeous dress.

I love 6776 and will be purchasing it. Great peek at the new releases. In fact I saw a few I love.💗

For me the only pattern that I really like is KNOWME KE2089 BRITTNEY JONES I Like her looks.

I think there are some lovely pieces there.

I worked with rayon for the first time this week. I love the feel of it and the drape of it, but I was struggling with keeping the fabric from slipping on each other.

The late 70’s & early 80’s (which are my years & which I was very skinny then but sadly no more) us ladies were generally a lot slimmer but these retro reproduction patterns should now be updated to our sizes & like u say I would of loved to make no 9977 but of course far too small for me now 😢 great video thanks for sharing these with us 😁 xx
