After watching im 100% sure you're a phony, hater literally say PlayStation, has no interesting games but sequels while Nintendo, has alot of sequels as well but you dont care because its Nintendo. Why do you completely dimmiss xbox, having a lack of any games and no exclusives . I own both a switch, and ps5, they both severe a purposes but both are doing better then Xbox no matter how much you want PlayStation, to fail Xbox already admitted they lost consoles wars no other console maker has ever done so . To say Nintendo is destroying PlayStation is laughable only console getting destroyed is Xbox . Ive noticed alot of pc/Xbox Community really love lying about PlayStation .

I agree a lot of it is lack of exclusive games. With Xbox and Sony any really great game is going to end up in PC so why buy them? But a lot of Switch games are switch only and some in all platforms are designed in such a way that more power or higher frame rate doesn't improve the experience. Another advantage is Switch ports of older games. Lots of gamers have massive backlogs if games they wanted to play but had no time for, thier are great older games that you'd need to track down older hardware to play that are on Switch, old games that never got attention because competition buried them that just aren't out thier now except as Switch Ports. Finally there is the gameing space where Nintendo dominates, portable. They basically compete with only phones and phone games are dominated by freemium games that require WiFi or Mobile Data to play. But you can take a switch and plug with you and play games off line. Sony and Microsoft are busy fighting to do the same thing better and Nintendo is just doing what they aren't with no real compention.

Despite the dmca legal team and weird business decisions that we always find annoying and we don't like, they along with Sega, Insomniac games, bandai Namco, Capcom and the other successful AAA games, indie games and AA Games are Pretty much keeping the gaming industry alive as always

Hey listen. When the wii u released pikmin 3 i started reading nintendo news articles daily and every huge release there was doom and gloom about ninty going under when they have a huge amount of cash in the bank... anyways if u look at the switch as the wii u 2 then it all makes more sense. They were making bangers then that no one was playing cuz they were labeled as for kids only after the wii phase. They learned a hard lessen that generation that i think put them above everyone else. Its that your product needs to be really good and hyped right out the gate with a REASON to buy it. The wii u just became a sinking ship for them because they had a bad release with no good games for a year or 2 and the switch had day one zelda reminded everyone just why those games are considered the industries best.

I played Breath of the Wild so much that it took me a year after the release of Tears of the Kingdom for me to even pick it up (even though I bought it on release). It was hard for me to get into it, for the reasons mentioned here. It was very forced feeling in the beginning. But ... now that I have played it, I will absolutely say that I enjoy Tears of the Kingdom A LOT more than BOTW. And it's due to what I find enjoyable in video games: grinding. My favorite thing to do in BOTW was fighting all the lynels and collecting their guts. But after selling enough lynel gut elixirs, I had max rupees and no reason to keep grinding lynels. I just kept all their guts in my inventory for no reason, all maxed out bows and everything. In ToTK, I can collect A LOT more weapons like the lynel bows by having all of the bow, shield, and weapon rooms in my house. Plus more than that, since I can fuse them together and keep double. I really love the fuse ability because I am a hoarder in video games (you don't want to see my Skyrim hoard, lol). So yeah, for me, it has to be Tears.

Before watching this I'm going to say the Forest Dungeon and the Desert Dungeon are the best. Will see what you put as the best now.

If they port this to Switch it would probably sell very well. Link's Awakening and Skyward Sword Switch versions sold well and before BOTW, Twilight Princess was the best selling game in the series.

Common XC2 enjoyer W 😈 seriously though, not enough people talk about Nintendo and what distinguished them so heavily from all of their competitors across the years. Really just seems like the vocal video game fan population love to have their head in the sand and don't appear aware of the writing on the wall for PS and Xbox. Why get either of those consoles at this point if you have a PC that can at least run modern games moderately well? I'm a very patient man, I'll wait out a multi-plat release of Stellar Blade, Spiderman 2 and FF7R any day than spend another $500 dollars on a piece of silicon I'll just put down for months on end.

When you can play everything Nintendo releases for free on the PC I'm thinking the PC is the real winner. But I hear what you're saying. Excluding the PC, Nintendo is the winner.

You make some good points here, I agree the exclusive games are what makes any system and nowadays that is getting fewer and fewer exclusives. Nintendo does have the most IPs so the have a major advantage. And as a big Nintendo fan I'm more then happy with the Switch, Nintendo nailed it with the Switch. Side note: I must disagree with you on God of War Ragnarok, personally I think it is a worthy sequel to God of War(18). Yes it may not be as fresh as (18) but it is more polished overall, a great step up from (18). Thanks for the video.

I got the PS5 at launch, and it is my main go-to. My Switch only gets used for Nintendo games, and once they have been finished, unless it's a game that is like, say, Mario Kart, they go on the shelf, never to be touched again. They have no replay value to me at all. If Nintendo made some sort of achievement system, it would give so much replay value to most of their games. My Xbox Series X gets used for Forza and retro emulation only. There has never really been anything of interest on Xbox that I couldn't play elsewhere other than Forza Horizon, and even those get boring after a while. I don't have game pass because everything on there that isn't Xbox I can play on PS5. Really, if it wasn't for Retroarch and Emulation, I wouldn't even have an Xbox.

The story works just as well no matter which order you get the geoglyphs. You get the memory where Ganondorf transforms to Demon King first? That would leave you loads of mysteries. How did Zelda end up there? Who is the dead Sonia on the ground? Etc. You can only get answers by getting the other memories!

He understands. Core Console Rules 101. *A Videogame Console is ALWAYS defined by its Exclusives.* Without Exclusives, Videogame Consoles no longer need to exist. Everything would just go to a PC. Consoles MUST distinguish themselves from PCs at all times. They must deliver a UNIQUE experience you simply can't get anywhere else. The differential factor is why Consoles have defined the gaming experience over PC for decades. Nintendo is the last TRUE game maker making Consoles today. That's why they know these rules so well. Hell, they wrote the rule book about 40 years ago!

Visuals are cool, but what’s the point if you don’t have a fun, well-playing game? Or a huge library of those types of games? Or a must-play lineup of exclusives of those types of games?

I think the biggest reason Nintendo continues to succeed is that not only do they have a huge and rabid customer base of Nintendo die-hards, but they are also pretty much everyone's secondary or tertiary gaming platform. A good chunk of PS, Xbox, and PC players will end up buying whatever Nintendo is offering on top of what they already have, whether for the portability aspect, for access to Nintendo's admittedly wonderful exclusives, for their kids to play, or for some combination of those three reasons.

Own two beefy PCs with expensive video cards while also owning a PS5, two switches and an older Xbox One X (for backwards compat). I've seen the console race since the early 90s when I was a major Nintendo fanboy arguing against Genesis owners. The market thrives when the benefit is distributed well against the three part entity (1st party - Third Party - Consumer). Consumers win when they can easily purchase and access software (cheap and not expensive). third parties win when software is sold and they can develop titles at ease with a short turn around time of development and low cost. 1st party hardware make wins when consoles sell and software moves (money from hardware sales, money from software licenses to third party software publishers). When you release a console that is high powered and complicated, you risk forcing development costs to third parties being high (N64, PS3, Saturn). Of course gamers will get upset when you release an underpowered console. but a console with the right processing graphical power along with ease of software development makes it a win. Sony did great with the PS1 as it was easy to make playstation 1 games + the cheapness of the CD-rom medium (25 cent blank CDs versus $24 blank cartridges). High end consoles will only be purchased by people with more disposable income while the lower priced software and consoles will move steadily more people with various incomes. TL:DR - Sony and MS are hurting because their consoles being high end mostly are used and bought by people with more disposable incomes. If you're a grade school kid, you're relying more on parents to get you a console and you have the Switch to be more accessible and reachable compared to a $500 high powered console. High budget games and high cost systems won't move as much as the lower priced consoles. If you can enjoy really fun games on a cheaper expense, why pay more?

Super Mario Bros. wasn't an indie game. The concepts of AAA and indie had not yet been invented. Looking back, and when comparing Super Mario Bros. to other games from the same year and prior years, it was higher than AAA.

I’ve already got the ps5 so… I might as well use it. But yeah I feel like it’s a faster ps4. Seems like games just not taking that big leap like we saw ps1-ps2 or ps2 to ps3. Nintendo though, I remember the nes games getting super snes games. Each new console the games looks and plays amazing. But we wait so long for the next gen Metroid prime.. just as we know the next gen Zelda game will be many years from now. Most of us grew up playing Nintendo and jumped to the other guys. But give us a new Zelda, Mario, Metroid and we’ll come back to play! Fingers crossed Konami brings back castlevania! Just sharing why I have every console too. I may play on PlayStation or Xbox but I have Nintendo too, and will always come back to it!

I think both games ruin each other… I overall prefer _BOTW_ solely for the feel of it, but I miss the toys present in _TOTK_ 🤷🏻‍♂️
