Thanks mate, you saved my nerves, I tried this on Xbox 360 FAT Jasper, just hot glue it on both corners where those swtiches are (like two metals touching each other at the other side). Maybe this helps someone too. Thanks legend.

I had this issue and I set it up vertical with the button on top, opposite side of the floor. No taking apart nothing. Disc tray fine now.

Mines wont open by touching the sensor to open the disc tray. But with the controller it opens and closrs just fine. Why then it wont open when i touch the censor?? Any idea anyone..

Mine is just like the mid button is flashing and the bitch is opening and getting stuck half way amd will not close.

I just took a few pieces of hit it a couple times pluged it back up and it worked as good as new.

Thank you. This was exactly what was wrong with our child's Xbox 360. After watching other YT videos, I was hoping it wouldn't be this, because I didn't want to take the box apart, but I lifted the Xbox and gently rolled it side to side and upside down and I could hear the tiny piece lose inside. I searched the other YT for taking the Xbox apart to get to the disc drawer and you were spot on -- the little black square was loose inside. I had a gel superglue and using tweezers, was able to gently put glue on the two little stubs sticking out of the bottom of the tiny piece (careful not to put too much -- only to hold it enough until I got the switch put back in). After placing the switch in firmly, I put a bit of superglue on the top of both sides to secure it in (the top of the piece that was broken and the other side that is for holding the switch in place). Tested it and it worked beautifully! Putting the Xbox together, I had to reposition the foam/sticker around the drawer opening (as it almost got stuck in the drawer slide area). But this was absolutely the problem and I am now super mom to my boys, 16 y.o. and 11 y.o. who immediately argued which would be using Lazarus (the Xbox 360 that sat in the corner for over a year, because the drawer wouldn't stay shut). Naturally, the teen was more manipulative to swindle the Xbox into his room with the lil guy's consent (it belongs to the 11 y.o.). I am a gamer and computer literate, but you just made me look like a pro. Lol! Thanks again! You are awesome!

I found the plastic piece when I took mine apart but I couldn't figure out where it broke off from. Now I think I know, I'm going to look at it again and hopefully that was the problem. Thanks for the upload!

Short and Simple, and most importantly It is fucking the actual correct way, I am a bartender and i use a tap so i do the 2 step pour but that everyone is how you pour a canned Boddington or Guinness, maybe pour a little slower but thats still a perfect pour, so many people are posting videos where the pop the tab and just turn the can upside down an completely dump it into a glass of a flat surface, dont drink this wonderful brew incorectly, you are shaming it by doing it wrong... I just put my finger in the front of the tray to prevent it from opening and it worked

Where did you put the little broken piece because I didn't put it back in and I think that's why it's still opening.
