One question: If I’m arriving to Samui airport at 6pm, what choices are available to get me to Koh Phangan in the same evening?
You can probably buy a ticket at the airport to take you straight to Koh Phangan
Great video Jack - really informative without the modern day ‘influencer’ annoyance! My family (wife, two kids 3 & 6) are going in feb. we have booked Nature Beach Resort on lonely beach. I would be keen to know your opinion? - it seemed from looking online as if it is abit removed from the party area, with good beach and a few bars restaurants on the beach nearby?? Would you say that’s right?? Thanks mate!
Thanks. I think it's only about 100m from the main bar area so pretty close. There also seemed to be quite a few bars on the beach itself right beside nature rocks but I'm not sure what time that winds down. Hope that helps
Thank you🙂
No problem!
Railey has so many long tail boats
Yep!
Nice video thank you for the details! We want to travel to Thailand in Dezember over the christmas holidays & new years and it‘s our first time in Thailand. We are thinking about staying 1 week in Krabi and combining it with another place/island. I‘d love to go to Koh Samui but as I read more about rainy season, many people don’t suggest to go to Koh Samui in December. What do you think? I‘d prefer a area with less crowds and less parties…
Krabi would be a good option. I actually help people plan their trips to Thailand, if you would like to work with me get in touch through my website.
We are planning a trip to Phuket and would like to stay overnight at Koh Phi Phi, and in the morning take a long-tail boat to Maya Bay, to beat the crowd…. Just the day and leave to Phuket. Is Laem Thong beach have long-tail boat rentals to take guests to Maya Bay?
I don't know for definite but i reckon you could arrange it. I would make sure you do it at least the night before because there will probably be less boats at Laem Thong. You're hotel could probably help you do ut
Very informative. ❤❤
Thanks, are you heading there soon?
@@BangkokJack858 yes. Planning for a Thailand tour with my family. I was there in Bangkok and Phuket 2yrs ago. I wanna visit again.
Where did you hire the guide?

Are sharks dangerous when u snorkel around Phiphi? And what kind of shark it is
blacktip reef shark. not dangerous
I dropped a bollok. Heading to lipe in june from kuala lumpur. Flight to langkawi. No boats direct to lipe in closed season. So ferry to satun, taxi to pak bara then boat to lipe. To make matters worse, land in langkawi 810am, only ferry that day leaves kuah 930am. 30 mins between airport and kuah. Wish me luck lol
Haha Good luck. Even if you don't make it it'll be a story to tell!
@BangkokJack858 hehe true that. Im not expecting I'll make it as I'll need 40 mins before departure to check in (bag checks, immigration etc) But i can try 👍
@@markcarr992 they're usually deleted anyways tbh so I wouldn't be surprised if you did

Pitiusas resort. Fair point, I thought I had tbh
Very much needed info .. no one explained so well Thanks
Thanks, are you heading there soon? Where will you stay?
What are the timings of boat which drops you from ao nang to railey ?
About every 20 minutes starting from 6am
I should at that they leave when full, so could be longer than 20 minutes
very good video
Cheers mate!
Great video, also like the new light set up
Thanks! the light set up is a work in progress. I'm not sure how visible it is but it left a flicker on my face, which is something I'll have to figure out
I often have "clash" with backpakers who drive without permit, insurance , and experiance of driving two wheels in SE Asia.... Thx for your video if some can see it
I'm sure. I see it all over the place. Hopefully will convince some people to wear a helmet at least lol
Where can you book the tickets online? Is it on 12Go's website? Thanks
yes, you can. or just buy it at the station
@@BangkokJack858 thank u!!!
@@tkh9911 no problem, have fun in Pai!
A BIG THANK You ❤
Glad I could help! Where are you going? Samui? Phangan? Tao?
Hi. Very informative vdos. I just want to confirm that is it possible to reach koh lipe after 20th may as it is rainy season and some people are saying that sea is very rough. Do tour operators do transfer during this time to koh lipe. Really want to visit koh lipe but i m stuck on this point of rainy season
They will probably run, but I would wait to buy your ticket to see what the weather is like. If its very rainy and the waters are choppy I would avoid it. I wouldn't want to do such a long journey in choppy waters
After researching on internet I came to know that during low season, there is only one way of reaching Koh lipe and that is from pak bara pier. All other ferry/speedboat routes like phi phi, Phuket, Koh lanta etc do not operate in low season
Very well explained ❤
Thankyou kindly. Are you heading to Krabi soon? Where did you decide to stay?
High-quality videos. The Whoosh sounds every few seconds very annoying and made me leave.
That's good feedback, thanks.
Thanks very helpful video. Do you know if there is direct speedboats from Ao Nang in Krabi or do they take you by van towards Lanta ?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes there is a boat. you can buy tickets here. it looks like they pick you up from your hotel around 6am and take you to the pier. It's a 7 hour journey though so good luck! www.bookaway.com/routes/thailand/ao-nang-to-koh-lipe?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwouexBhAuEiwAtW_Zx_kWp6-MJRoLA9CFVOSbi9e1ldFcECrieHZqrn1JNEw99JJnfSnIBBoC1cAQAvD_BwE

Cheers! Are you heading to Koh Phi Phi soon? You'll love it!
Great info! Have you been to these places in July? Trying to gauge if we’re going to have issues with boats on bad weather days here.
I haven't ever been in July. I think that might be the start of the rainy season, but not the height of it so shouldnt be crazy. If you need help booking activities or accomodation you can check out my website (linked in the description) we'd be happy to help you out. If not have a good trip!
@@BangkokJack858 yeah that's pretty much what I've heard. Just hoping some rocky ocean currents don't jack up our boat trips to get to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, Koh Sumai & Koh Phi Phi. I appreciate the response though, thanks brother!
Kata Beach sounds good
yeah, i think its a very good option
Super helpful video!!! Thank you so much.

I was there 27th April Saturday. It was a good day trip in the intense heat at 40c which made the trip uncomfortable. The Koh Kret was quiet with little tourists to my surprise. We did some food and tried the craft beer at chit beer. Overall is a nice place to visit but not during the hot weather.
I was there this time last year and it was insanely hot! Riding the bicycles was a chore
This was great info thank you
Thanks, glad I could help
Hi. I was wondering if you knew if you could reserve the rooms for longer than a night or two. Thanks for the video! Made me add this to my trip.
Yes, definitely. You can stay as long as you like
@@BangkokJack858 okay thanks. I asked because on their website they only offer 1 or 2 night stays with the 2 night stays including a land stay in a bubble tent that is not changeable. But thank you for your response.
@@travelonward1 Sorry are you talking about the lake hotel? I assumed you were talking about Our Jungle House. I would contact the lake hotel directly and try to speak to someone there. I'm sure you can extend your stay, but most people probably come as part of the package deal so that's what they'll advertise. Its better for them if you stay longer so I'm sure you'll be able to. Enjoy your trip
Thanks so much
Love the video. You reviewed how to get to the park. What are the transportation options to leave the park, if you want to go Phuket, Krabi, or to the Surak Thani airport after a visit to Khao Sok?
Thanks. You can get pretty much much anywhere from there. You can check 12go Asia if you want to buy tickets online beforehand, however it's likely that your hotel in khao sok will be able to arrange for a minivan pick up in the morning to take you (and others) to your next stop
It's been ages since I commented- been hovering regularly though 🤣. Formerly OmaFarAway. I am a train girl by heart..... so the train got me. The story attached to the railway is very tragic. Who did u book the 4 island tour with? Also does the longboat driver wait for you while you explore railey beach
The Long tail boats are constantly running to and from railay. It costs 100 baht each way. I actually have a video that I just published about how to get to and from railay by boat. I booked the 4 island tour from one of the tour operators on ao nang beach. They actually had better rates than the companies online
Sunset Beach is disgusting, trash boat hangs out there so it stinks so bad.
Not when I was there, was very nice. But doesn't surprise me that that could happen
It's much easier to fly into Langkawi
I didn't think of that, good advice. Although there may be some issues having to cross a border and then immediately return
Thanks a lot ❤
