My Junkie Story, one of many, was that I was on the bus, sitting up front and a junkie gets on with his dog, which was a big Staffie type dog. He keeps saying to everyone "He's a really nice dug. He's no' aggressive or anythin'. He's pure lovely. Really gentle". A few stops later, he's getting off and is standing next to me, since I'm sitting up front. The dog is sniffing at my leg and I pat its head. The junkie says his speech again. "He's a really friendly dug. No' aggressive or anythin'. He's pure gentle". I said "I can see that. Do you feel you need to tell people that because you worry they'll assume he's hostile?" The junkie looks at me in silence. His face darkens, his eyes turn weird and he scowls "Who the fuck dae you hink you're talkin' tae!? Who the fuck dae you hink you are!?? Ah'll punch your cunt in, ya bam. A fuckin' swear down, mate", as he's getting off the bus. I'm thinking "Wow... This guy's having a different conversation! haha. That's not the response to anything I said WTF??" The bus drives away and he's still shouting lol. I think perhaps I just said something that he didn't understand, and these people tend to react with hostility when they experience any sort of negative emotion. So I guess he was confused and his default setting is just hostility.

I mind being told a story about a house party back home about 20 years ago. Anyway abody is bang on it, getting pissed up, my mate shows up at this party, late on, well after 3am with a Chinese. Everybody scrambles for it, starts munching down the sweet and sour pork balls and noodles and prawn crackers. So as its soaking up the bevy everyone turns around says to my mate, that was awesome, where did you find a Chinese takeaway at this time in the morning? And he just turns around and goes na na, I didnt get it from a takeaway, I just found it sat on a door stop when I was walking down here!
