My name is Michael Meitz. I enjoyed trains ever since I was a kid when I first saw Milwaukee Road Steam Locomotive 261. I watch trains a lot as they roll through even while I take pictures and videos. I also enjoyed car shows, car races especially drag racing, watching a lot of sports games at Westmont High School as well as other special events.
Illinois Railway Museum Diesel Days 8/11/24
It was an exciting day for diesel days at the Illinois Railway Museum on Sunday August 11th, 2024! Several E and F Units and a Santa Fe FP45 92 were running since it was Covered Wagon Sunday, and it was so awesome to watch these diesel locomotives in operation.

Another great trip to the Illinois Railway Museum for the Vintage Transport Extravaganza event on Sunday August 4th, 2024 with vintage trains, and several old cars parked around the museum grounds. A steam coach train with Frisco 1630 operated along with a Chicago & North Western commuter train, 3 electric trains, and 2 streetcars. It was a great day!

This time, I went to see the Day Out With Thomas event at the museum on Sunday July 14th, 2024 as I watched Thomas The Tank Engine, and Percy The Small Engine pull passenger train trips, and also went inside the model railroad museum where I saw a lot of Thomas trains running around the layouts as well. The museum also had a steam engineer experience event running the Shay 5 on several throttle time running sessions while Frisco 1630 pulled a steam coach train. I heard that Wisconsin central 7525 broke down. It was running at the time of day out with Thomas but yesterday it was scheduled to run but it couldn’t start up the engine so 4160 took over. 😢

I thought 4506 would have that 4160 livery only for CNW day but I guess I was wrong cause I heard that they would take it off
There might be plans to repaint 4506 into her Chicago & Northwestern colors wearing her number of 4160, but they haven't gone public yet until now. Another told me a few months ago.
