In the 18th century the Royal Navy was the most successful fighting force in the world. To maintain this status it desperately needed better ways of looking after its sick and wounded, so in 1746 it decided to build the best hospital the country had ever seen, near the Portsmouth dockyard at Haslar. Costing £100,000, it was the biggest construction project in the country, and for over 250 years...

Jésus is a myth. Sorry to tell you all. Hate to spoil parties with delusional, self-important people, because it gives life 'meaning'. What meaning does it give exactly?
Treasure hunters Treasure hunters Treasure hunters Treasure hunting along lisbon or florida ???
No, we do NOT know what Jesus said. All that comes from Paul and all his writings date from A.D 175-225. Paul was a literary creation after the fact in an effort to authenticate the new testament.
Amazed how many comments on corn 😊
Tony, so brave to taste that fermented mollusk soup!
MIC ALWAYS THE LEADER SUCH GOOD COACHING.
As to be honored by those found honorable🎉
🎉
So about the antlers, we do not "know" what anyone did with these. It is all speculation. But when I was growing up we played cowboys and Indians and Army men. We imitated our parents. Adults Dress up and roll played. Maybe they were entertaining themselves, by playing hunting games . Playing is like practicing for those who are learning.
Come for the archeology, stay for the tech nostalgia.
Was sind 11 Jahren…Saxon Gold is for ever…😊
I'd cry tears of joy if someone dug up something that amazing in my backyard.
Whoever wrote the bible hated women and wrote them out of the story. It's all gods and no goddesses. The cup is used in pagan religions as symbolic of women. Think morter and pestle representing male and female. The 'grail' is thus both a 'cup' and the 'divine feminine', and we can see how Judaism, Christianity and Islam deal with women as a 'separate 'species' who are condemned if they don't fall into line with the male writers visions of how they 'should' be. The Abrahamic faith is deeply sexist and Dan Brown certainly has a point. Power is very seductive and always corrupts.
I love all the guys on time team. I have it playing while im drawing or doing chores. The greatest show ive ever discovered.🎉
Nice big piece, broken, of storage vessel. But where did the rest of it go? It broke, why din't it get all get left in situ, and thus found .
Its amazing all these people let TT dig up their yards. Really an amazing community
That church is unbelievable. Something the community should really be proud of.
Tony and Phil are some cool cats. Hard to be in a bad mood watching this show.
I do drewing and coloring art and this show seems to unlock creativity. Such a great show. I cant say enough how much i enjoy Time Team.
Been down iton Cheddar Gorge back in the 80’s Brilliant place They have a Glass blowing shop over the road and have been to Wookey hole aswell good times love to go back👌
Greatest collection of charachters I've ever come across. Excellent job Time Team. From the diggers to the producers.....Great job!
"...like the Venerable Bede here..." - snickers. Tony teasing Mick is so much fun!
You’d never know carenza had a mastectomy that she didn’t have to have cuz she didn’t get a second opinion, by her demeanor on site and the clothes she wears
One of my favorite shows....love Phil, but whatever happened to, "Rest in Peace?" Is there a time limit and then you're opened up?
Tony: but we still haven't trashed Chris' garden Mick: you are such a vandal Grin. Love the banter!
Loved the oxen!
Even more rare are viking airplane burials.
Tonys Obsession are irritating every time
these later programs without Mic seem as though they need an extra day or two to do the same work.
hookcorinducet
25:50 Phil - "Let's go wreck another garden!" 🤣🤣🤣
By season 20, it just feels wrong.
A little annoyed at Tony calling Matilda the "Wannabe Queen" when she was the legitimate heir, and her father had his nobles swear to recognize her reign. The end of the civil war came with the agreement that her son would rule after Stephen, so her line was legitimate. She was "just" a woman though.
Norman was a bad dude.
The name was spelled as it was in French - Beauchamp - but pronounced Beecham in English.
7:00 What a booby.
what were your hopes for that fuking background noise
I don’t know how culture has survived through all these dirty jobs….
Soooo interesting. The children used in chimney cleaning. Omg.
Love that sweet dog!
i thought gold came up with volcanos? wouldnt there be loads up there if you dug
Someone really did Phil dirty with that thumbnail lmao
Harding the barbarian😅
How sad that so much of the island has been lost to commercialization. I’m sure that benefits the residents, but as a history over, i am sorry for all the artifacts that are. likely forever lost.
Is it wrong to find Neil annoying?
I'm a few minutes in and i suddenly realized i think teacher talked about this! I think it's a folly or a hoax. Something about a fence over a dagger? 13:23 It seems to me that the team is at least partially convinced that the area is a fake coming into the dig. I guess it has been a controversial site before they got there? 32:00 And there it is. A sword on TOP of barbed wire. That seems to clench it.... my personal theory is that someone was playing at being a current (1800S) druid and tossed the sword in as an offering. 37:15 SO the spring was created as well? How do you create a spring? Aren't spring a natural thing? There must be force behind the water to make it flow.... 41:46 The barbed wire is less than 20 years old!? Well, that pretty damning then.... someone is playing silly games... although it could still be someone being a modern day druid. I have a sister who is wicken so old religion are still around.
Mike Emery - young Ozzy Osbourne? The shades & haiy are spot on!
I thought more Getty Lee from rush my self 😊
Swine Team!! (A group of hogs are called a team) The farmer's Porcine Archeologists deserve a big round of applause! They located AND cleaned the tesserae! "That's some pig!"😅
They had at least two children, A girl Sarah and A Boy when she went to France! Jesus had his last supper as A guest, unless he carried his own cup everywhere, why would he still A cup from A Host? I believe his blood was gathered in the Alabaster Jar, there was no cup! The green cup found was the Alabaster Jar!
So funny because occasionally I'll hear the transition music 🎶 in my head! 3:12-3:30 🎶
