great video.i got one of these from a friend who died and didn't know how to clean it. i followed your instructions and got the bolt out however the "tab" at the bottom of the barrel that is i think the safety is blocking the breach plug from getting out. any suggestions ?

Had you had issues with zeroing the rifle/scope in warmer weather then using same ballistic numbers in colder weather? If so, what was your remedy for it?

This is probably a dumb question but it has been at least 30 years since I shot any if my 3 cap lock rifles. Is it out of the question to shoot BH-209 with #11 primers? I think I already know the answer but alot has changed down thru the years. Thanks

Great video I have a question I have the traditions pursuit XT with how good will the 50 caliber borlock projectiles perform in that gun

Just received mine, seems when they finished it they removed very little material as all the parts are inset over an easy 1/4". The wood is so fat the trigger is pushed out sideways and my hands which stretch the largest gloves can barely grip it. Looks like hours of roughing in is in my future.

It’s a Pennsylvania Long Rifle. It was made by Martin Meylin in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Kentucky wasn’t even a thought when it was made.

It seems to have become fashionable to ignore why a rifle has a grip on it and to lay a thumb either on top of the grip or even beside it. With a hard kicking rifle that's a great way to get a case of scope eye. That's when the scope comes back and cuts you a new eyebrow. Hang on to that sucker. Blood running down your face does not make for a good follow up shot. lol. But it's a great way to practice flinching.

Can you still use the bullet after your remove it?

I know of only three deer shot with power belts. All escaped. On was shot later. It was discovered the power belt bullet penetrated 2". All three deer were shot at close range with full power loads. I would not recommend any type of power belt bullet because of this.
