A man with too much time on his hands.
Hello friends! I make music and lyric videos, primarily for Sabaton and Kanonenfieber. My mission for this channel is to provide history buffs a place to see the things that are sung about in the songs they listen to, and so I try to use historical footage whenever possible. I uploaded my first ever video in March of 2022, which at the time of writing this has now amassed 7.7K views. My content focuses on military history. If you are into military history, and the bands that sing about it, please check out some of my videos!

I’ll show my ignorance, but are these Han cavalrymen with the double back feathers? They remind me of the Polish Winged Hussars and, yes, I do know the Hussars came along hundreds of years later. ;) I learnt about them from a Sabaton song, too.

Great song and a great translation, one thing i will offer is in this context "Bereit Zum Wurf" would more closely be "Ready to throw" or "Ready to release", in the context of dropping bombs in the dive bomb attack.

Hello! I didn't translate that speech because it is actually just small and repeated pieces of the speech at the beginning of the song. That, combined with the difficulty of even understanding what these pieces are actually saying, led me to not translate it. To me, it is like listening to a bunch of people talking at once. So that's why there is no translation there.

The reason why I'm in love with this one is : 1:05 - 1:30 ( Military infantry Drums ) 4:49 ( Where Guitar Melody takes you directly into WW1 )
Personally, the guitar melody for both 4:50 and 6:40 are this song's best parts. I'd listen to it on loop if I could. Their Der Letzte Flug's opening is also great for this same reason

I love the touch of flashing the pictures of the real soldiers from 3:18 onwards, my own great-grandfather was one of the men who landed at Sulva Bay with the Royal Munsters.
my great grandfather joined the french army back in the opening days of the war and when the US formally got involved he left the french army and joined the US military, keep in mind this was rural KY and before the germans even started targeting shipping at all let alone American vessels.

@@zenster1097 ww1 is all fine, but ww2 is copyrighted until 2040. And just because it's a historical footage doesn't mean there isn't copyright, someone recorded that and owns it.
