In season 5, I want to see Jonathan and Steve interact more, team up and work together.
The Byers fell off after season 1. Joyce has become a boring caricature of "mom trying to do the right thing", jonathan went to being lost and depressed and I have to leave/breakup with Nancy "because" things. Don't even get me started with Will. They cut the abusive father which makes the family more sympathetic in the first season. Now every interesting character is always the new character: Bob, Max, Billy, Robin s3, Vecna, Chrissy and Eddie.
Back when Steve was horriblw but in Season 2, he started to become more likeable.

This is hilarious from El’s point of view. I doubt she knows what kissing is at this point, so from her perspective Mike just slammed his mouth onto hers for no reason. She’s probably thinking “That answered literally nothing but ok I guess”

the range of emotions conveyed by Finn and Millie was truly amazing. notice how Mike looked apprehensive right after he kissed Eleven, as if he was worried that she would react negatively. for a split second, El looked taken aback, before smiling shyly back at Mike. After seeing that, Mike relaxed and was like "omg, this girl is so cute and I can't believe that I just kissed her"
That fight was closer than I remembered until Steve hit the car and lost his balance

Rewatching this scene I noticed a detail I really like. The longer the fight goes on for, the worse Jonathan’s fighting form gets, and yet the more damage he does. Such a cool thing imo.
