This works!!!! I put some coffee on top of a napkin placed inside citronella candle , lit all 4 corners of the napkin and turned my ceiling fan on and nothing flew in my area!!!! I live in Houston, TX where mosquitoes , wasps and lizards are merciless… I was even having wasps build houses on my patio!!! Not one flew in all night long!!!!! Genius idea!!!!

It is odd that so many people talk about using used coffe as well because I put all my used coffee grounds into a tub in my kitchen and if I don't keep the lid on then I start getting infested with small (fruit?) flies that seem to like the smell of old coffee and breed in there.

This does not work for me. I could not get the coffee to burn from the paper towel .

Hmmm, I would have to run that coffee + Hot water through my coffee press before scooping it on to a plate for mosquitoes! No freshly ground coffee is going to be offered to the mosquito at my house. If you mom and dad saw you wasting good coffee for mosquito repellent you would get a talking to, or worse!

As I sit here in my RV on my mosquito invested 10 acres, in bed with my computer on my lap reading about how to get rid of mosquitoes, a mosquito is flying onto my computer monitor screen. So that begs the question..why can't you just put a light source out of range of your eyes of course so all mosquitoes will gravitate there like they are to my computer screen?

I’m in northern Manitoba, the breeding ground for all mosquitoes everywhere!! I’ve worked hard to make my back yard a nice place to sit and enjoy but the mosquitoes ruin the experience. So I’ll try this and get back to you with my results.
