Hey I just double checked and the headstock is clearly labeled as an Affinity model and it doesn’t look like the label has been doctored with. Guessing by the serial number I think this might be an older model that they sold at a reduced price to make way for newer stock

I appreciate you bringing your concern to my attention. It helped me confirm that I didn't buy the wrong model. I just checked the SN on the Fender site and confirmed it is a 2021 Squier Affinity Tele - 2 Tone Sunburst Model # 0310202503

I generally like my guitars to look clean and new for as long as possible. This one was a very low budget purchase last year so the vinyl wrap was an easy fix for lots of dings and scratches. But, to each his own

Thanks! I don’t know for sure but I know it was engineered for cars, which face much worse climate conditions than Guitar. So even if it only lasts a few years, it’s easy enough to redo it if needed

I took a look at a wiring diagram and the 2 and 4 positions are a phase flipped middle position. Technically, they're both identical options making one of the two redundant. So, we're down to 4 positions in reality. Which can still be achieved with a 3 way switch and a separate 'phase swap' switch... which can be installed as a volume knob pull-pot. Also, regarding the "focus" switch. It looks like it's a treble bleed circuit. Something like dialing the tone control down just with different low-pass curve. Thereby "focusing" on the fundamental note while blocking out harmonic overtones. Try an A-B comparison between min tone vs focus. One is bound to be a bit more murky than the other. On its own, a treble bleed can be pretty pointless. But, it's great for preventing a wash of harmonics from overwhelming tone-sensitive pedal circuits like a fuzz or vintage pitch/octave effect.

Actually I have been using different multi effect pedals for so long that I don’t remember having individual pedals. I like this one much better for the convenience, ease of transport, and overall versatility.

Headrush makes a separate pedal, that's what I'm going to do. The Prie is so heavy and massive that it is really only needed by stage pros. This Core is perfect for the rest of us.

I’m not sure if I understand your question correctly. This particular multi effects pedal has all the effects, amps, modulations, etc. built into it. You may be able to plug other pedals into this but I don’t have reason to do that. There are so many options and configurations built into it that it’s an all in one unit for me. I hope this helps!

The dry filter switch does even less. Maybe I'm not playing it loud enough, but it doesn't seem to do a whole lot, other than serve as a "mute," making the guitar sound duller.

Hi! If you soldered all the wires of the new pre-wired pickguard into your guitar correctly, the Kill Switch should be working. The kill switch is not like some other ones that pushes in and out quickly. It has to be pushed down all the way to kill the signal, then pushed down again to turn it back on. It's not the normal type of kill switch. I hope this helps!
