Nice planes and nice flying great facility also
Very nice. It looks like you are using donut shaped magnets over the nails. You would not think it would pull in as the head of the nail is on the other side of the wood. I also built the ziroli hellcat and blew up the plans to fit a moki 250 in. I used a similar approach hisoling blocks inside with five #8 socket head cap screws. I used a realy long allen wrench to fasten from the inside. I like your idea better. Thanks for posting. Lou.
@@LouCetrangelo I’ve used this method several times in the magnets hold quite well
I watched all 3 of the videos on this fly-in. I was there Friday afternoon for a while. Great fly-in and you did great videos.
Was the Me 163 a real rocket ?
@@jimsilvey5432 It is turbine powered and has a smoke system. Pretty cool set up.
Some great planes and flying! I would love to know how that Me rocket plane was set up.

Do you know which P51 kit or scratch built kit that is ?
Outstanding models gents. Pleasure to watch
what engine and prop did you use?
I painted this for a friend, so I don’t remember what the prop size was but I do know it was a DA 85 for the motor
Are plans available? Components?
Did it ever fly?
It has not flown, but it is back on the building table for 2024. Hope to have another video or two of it. Coming up pretty soon.
nice video. is this a two part epoxy paint? do you mix it a particular way? their website states that their paint is resistant to solvents.
Good video, and what great looking planes, love em, Thanks!
Great video Mitchell!! Thanks for sharing!
Do you make the cowls ?
No, you can get those cowls from Ziroli .com
@@warbirdmitchell4510 .... Right , I just ordered it, thanks
You said clasico paint? I did a search and came up with nothing
www.klasskote.com
Whats its price US
It is $4,500
Excellent camera work. I've spent a fair amount of time in a T-craft. Brought back fond memories.
Looks like Dennis has it dialed in pretty good!
Oh the laugh 😂, made both videos!
Awesome Video Mitchell---Thanks for sharing.
Good video. Far too many videos on UTube are ARTF with small planes flying a long way off. We need more ''how to'' detail and here we have a good example of a very important (and difficult) area in building. Shame the wing mounting video was deleted as this is also a vital area of any build. Well done and thank you for sharing your excellent information.
OOpps...just seen the wing mounting video. Great. Having recently retired I am about to engage on building from plans a number of planes, each with particular problems to overcome. (1) Westland Lysander - round fuselage with double curved wing ribs (2) Tiger Moth biplane - top and bottom wings are at different angles to the centre line (3) 96 inch span DH Rapide biplane with very thin wing section so mounting the wings securely is a problem (4) large Speber Junior gull wing glider - building in the gull wing and making the round, plywood covered fuselage. So lots of challenges ahead and your video's (and those of others) provide great help. I think more info on ensuring (1) fin is vertical and on the centre line (2) tail is at 90 degrees to centre line and at the right incidence (3) wings are 90 degrees to centre line and the right incidence (4)
Very nice build!
Plans or a kit?
56k. Idle
How is the low speed rpm resolution for landing? Is there a significant delay in spooling up response if a go around or small fine adjustment is needed to land?
Oh yes, just like a jet you have a three seconds spool up. Actually, a turbo prop is probably more like 4 to 5 seconds so there is a little bit of a delay in RPMs when you push the throttle forward. You just have to know you’re landing and know that if it doesn’t look great, go ahead and go around it don’t take the chance or have an alone runway, helps as well.
You didn't keep your phone long enough to see the rpms
No, the propellers go in the right direction you can see the leading edge awesome turbine gotta get myself one of those😂👍🇨🇦
If this tec was used in a hybrid system in cars
Nice Porter, can you tell us which kit it is ?
It is a briar kit from Vogelstein
@@warbirdmitchell4510 Thanks, The PC-6 quickly becomes populat with all these turboprop engines out there. It's a nice looking plane and simple forms build like a shoe box
Where is the field at?
The field is just outside East Bend North Carolina
Great video!
Could 2 of these power an ultralite aircraft?
Is it safe to driv with hydrogen?
Nice, beautiful take off and landing, effortless.
I had no idea that mini R/C turboprops even existed! I love it! I wonder how much power it would make if hooked up to a dyno. imagine hooking 6 of these up to a little Cessna or cub lol
To those who fly Rc airplanes, a quick look will tell that the wooden prop is in the correct direction... logo in front, trailing edge behind, haha.
What's wrong with using that prop? 😊 It's just for testing. Only risk of over speeding etc if go on full throttle... but if we're aware then all is good 🕊 Afterall, the prop rpm is PID controlled unlike a gasoline engine 👍 Beautiful stuff
Swastika is backwards on the right side.
Wow you have a good eye, and you are 100% right
@@warbirdmitchell4510 I just finished mine. Stated it 7 years ago! I plan to do the maiden this friday. It came in at 25.5 lbs, and took 1lb to balance. I am really happy with that. I hope all goes well. Any tips for the maiden? Things to look out for?
@@rperry70 Just keep the air speed up on landing and you’ll have no problems it’s easy to fly
What total take off weight of this plane? And the length of wingspan?
Unfortunately I’ve kind of stopped on this project been busy building other airplanes. So I really don’t have an answer to your question about the flying weight
I have this same Brauer turbo porter. Yours is looking good.
i dont like staring into a plane of rotation lol. i would love to see a tear down of one of these see how substantial the power take off is off the turbine to spin such a big prop like that
Pilatus 🐉
Wow, great landings👍👍👍
When will it be ready for sky
Really awesome 👌🏼 more details
how much thrust you can get? sounds great
I never really tested the thirst.
Yet another otherwise perfect scale "Z" except for the ugly tailwheel.
Great video!
Is a turbo prop worth it performance wise over a piston if you're still fixed pitch? There wouldn't be one fixed pitch full size turbo prop in the world. Or is it mainly for scale purposes not performance
Well we’re talking about a model airplane here so it’s about the fun factor not the performance factor like an a real Full scale airplane
