Tommy Bolin KILLING IT! Don’t miss Russell Bizzett at this years BolinFest! He is tied for first as Tommy’s longest term musical friend out of Sioux City. Here he is singing “Ain’t Nobody’s Fool”from our TBA CD Tommy Bolin and Friends. Tommy had asked Russell to move to Boulder in the early 70s from where he was at that time in New York City, he jumped at thechance. Alot of people don’t understand that this is him singing this song as well as playing drums. Russell doesn’t do much singing anymore but here he shows “wow what a great singer”

It's a shame about the abysmal audio quality, but it's nice to see the guys being so welcoming to a real legend like George Harrison. That just gives me one more reason to love Deep Purple...as if I didn't have enough reasons already! These guys contributed massively to the soundtrack of my life, and were hugely influential on my development and growth as a performing artist and musician. Long live Deep Purple!♥️

I was so fortunate to see him as a kid with DP on the "Come taste the band" tour, up front , at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena, I was 12, but a guitar player, at the start of the show, to be honest, he was too messed up, but by the end of the show, he was great, I had a opened come taste the band album cover , it said "Tommy Bolin Is God" he saw it, as well as Glenn Hughes and they both smiled and nodded.... My second favorite guitar player, ever!! I played in a lot of bands , and went to Berklee in Boston, I turned a lot of Jazz players on to him over the 2 years I was there, everyone who heard him was thoroughly impressed. I miss him so much, Rip

The first album I ever bought with my own money was come taste of the band by Deep Purple. Did it just come out? I was 11 years old maybe 12.. I immediately started playing the guitar because of that album and have ever since it was just so good and I worked myself backwards and then forward trying to get all of the recorded things with Tommy on them that I could.. I have them all and my son just turned 20. I’ve turned him onto the music. He loves it as well.
