Cops are not qualified to inspect for smog equipment. Just because they took a 8 hour class, it doesn't certify them as inspectors.

Geez. Imagine living in a place where not having a front liscence plate on a car you just purchased, gives them probable cause to search your vehicle to find more violations to charge you with.

HOW TF can a cop ask to look at your engine?? Are they highly trained mechanics?? They usually struggle to do even basic tasks. All they need to see is if the inspection is legal. A cop is not not licensed or qualified to be doing roadside inspetions.
