I did my wife's 03 PT Cruiser and my 06 Dakota. They were easy compared to your job.
Yes, the dash is built around the HVAC box in many of these GM vehicles.

Muchas gracias x la información Bendiciones Pura vida
Good evening, Blessings, greetings from San Carlos, Costa Rica, I am interested in buying a 2014 6.2 Ford F150 Raptor. Seeing information, they say that the 6.2 gasoline engine breaks the valve springs. The question is, how many kilometers or miles do the valve springs break? of that 6.2 l question is to prevent changing springs before their time that they break and cause serious problems in the engine
I am unaware of the average kilometers that these springs fail, however this truck was around 70,000km. It seems that Ford has not updated the part so it may be best to find an aftermarket set from a reputable manufacturer to avoid future failures.
You made that look easy , even though it wasn't 👍
It looked easier than it was. I quickly made a tool to compress the spring and hoped the valve didn't drop.
Did u use soap n water or was it winded?
I used Windex without Ammonia. Not sure if with Ammonia is still a thing. A trick I learned when I worked for a car dealership. The instructions for this kit just wanted the decals laid on in 4" sections. it didn't work well especially on the compound curves of the hood.
@@bobsgaragewawa um putting a wrap on my sled over this summer, good to know before I start doing it, n its a full wrap going on
It's better to use lock tite on outer of seal that's what the manufacturer says. It also will lube it to slide in but don't have to worry about it sliding and spinning once dry
That's a great sounding tip, if I have to do it again I will keep that in mind.
Well I did the same thing to my 800. Runs great on the stand. Hopefully it will hold up. I also used a little RTV as lube and extra help to seal it up. Gonna fucking send it lol😂
Hopefully it works out for you, I have heard a lot of success stories with this install. I chose to try it as I was hesitant to tear the engine out and do a proper repair. Winter was looking good and I wanted to ride. Turns out I had plenty of time to tear it down and do it right.
School bus?
Short bus, But it gets you to school with time to spare.
So did that seal hold up? I've got a 2003 800ho I'm thinking about trying it.
Unfortunately we haven't had enough snow to ride, it has been raining and above freezing. Might get to ride by March.
Thats no good at all. If the engine can pull air from there it will run lean and cook the piston
If this was an older style Rotax I would agree, however these engines have internal seals that seal the case, these external seals are used to keep the grease in place not seal the case.
That's a super clean Rev!
It really is, was lucky to find one in this kind of shape.
I done mine the same way and it did the same thing, I’ve done 500km since of hard riding, I just keep checking it didn’t push it out every now and then since the little sliver of the lip came off like yours
I actually tapped mine in flat after tho
I ended up tapping this one in off camera too. Once we actually get enough snow to ride I will see if it stays in. If not I will try it again. I have another seal in the freezer.
Right way is to take a little time and split the cases that lip that came off can cause a leak plus if it's not in straight it can wear and cost you a lot .
You are 100% correct, however I opted to take the chance and try this method. Seeing as there is an internal, seal this external seal is keeping the grease in and debris out. So while critical, not as critical as previous designs where the fuel oil mixture lubricated the bearings and the external seal was used to maintain crank case pressure / vacuum. Thanks for the input! If it doesn't work out I'm sure there will be a video of me removing the engine and splitting the case.
That looks sweet
Do we have enough snow yet?
That motor is a older 600 or at least the case it should have the pto bearing seal plate
It's a 2008 500SS (597CC) Carbureted Rotax, the SDI and Etec (594CC) I believe had the plate.
Wow! Those got pretty clean!
Right?!
Forget trying to add music!
Junk rotor probably from Mexico
Looks at those sweeet steven tyler lips
Sweet. If I had a new truck I’d have you install my intake.
