Crossroads Duel Eugene's Opening riff Guitar Head Cutting

This is the first riff Eugene plays in response to Steve Vai's Bad Horsie opening. Personally i think it's the coolest riff out of all the headcutting, that and I can't play Eugene's trick bag!!!
Robert Johnson Crossroads Blues acoustic cover - slide (no vocals)
zhlédnutí 92KPřed 11 lety
My version of crossroads blues Robert Johnson on acoustic using a wooden slide, I learned this from the intro to the crossroads film, I think its Ry Cooder playing it but not too sure.... isn't quite perfect as the films audio distracts me. Never gonna get it note for note from the original but hey.... at least i still got my soul!!

I went to the crossroads, fell down on my knees I went to the crossroads, fell down on my knees Asked the Lord above, have mercy now, save poor Bob if you please Standin' at the crossroads, tried to flag a ride Whee-hee, I tried to flag a ride Didn't nobody seem to know me, everybody pass me by Standin' at the crossroads, risin' sun goin' down Standin' at the crossroads baby, the risin' sun goin' down I believe to my soul now, po' Bob is sinkin' down You can run, you can run, tell my friend Willie Brown You can run, you can run, tell my friend Willie Brown That I got the crossroad blues this mornin', Lord, baby I'm sinkin' down I went to the crossroad, mama, I looked east and west I went to the crossroad, babe, I looked east and west Lord, I didn't have no sweet woman, ooh well, babe, in my distress

This is really great. Id like to try to learn it. Have you become a better teacher in the last nine years?
Fantastic playing my man, thank you for uploading this, I’ve never seen it played before
Fault in the one finger at the start, and extra finger at the end... sorry my bad english I'm brazilian but I'm nigga
the crazy part is the original "robert johnson" in the 1920's or something how did he learn how to play that in those days? or was blues already perfected like that?
