You newbies knows nothing, this remake is done for, CONami let a DEI consultant group infiltrate in the development and they did severe damage, they uglyfied Angela and removed Maria sexuality, its a huge letdown, they neglected the symbolism of this franchise and the people who really loved it will not accept all the twists they made

I disagree with Laura being seen by Maria. Because the dead body with notes near it was a man telling his friend that he saw a creature and his friend didn't see anything from s distance. If one experiences the other world, the real person they saw might disappear.

I don't like the new model for Maria... In the OG she looked very mysterious, confident and provocative, she really made James uncomfortable, and from what we've seen so far, this new Maria looks very passive and bland. I don't have big expectations but I wish the best for the team tho

Regarding Maria calling Laura, maybe James is the only one seeing/hearing Maria call for Laura. We don't know yet. Because Maria in the original is the one that tells James where Laura ran to. P.S.: we have grating in parts of the hospital and some streets at night in the original.

You say Ito, Yamaoka and Nakazawa (who didn't even work on SH 1) are the "mind, body and soul" of Silent Hill, yet fail to include what imo and many others, were much more seminal and at the core of Silent Hill 1 and 2, both Keiichiro Toyama (who without there wouldn't even be a first Silent Hill) and Takayoshi Sato, who really was the true mind body and soul of Silent Hill 2, everyone else basically followed his core themes and vision for SH2 to help create that masterpiece. Without Sato, we wouldn't even be talking about SH2 as a phenomenal piece of art to this day, and there wouldn't be a remake. This isn't meant as an acid burn, just want to give proper and due respect and recognition to the creators of said artwork, as i feel its important for artists who have created works that transcend the mundane experience to be remembered, revered and celebrated.

I agree with what you said about the remake. I'm going to be spending a good amount of money to play this game. I also have to buy a PS5. Of course I intend on getting other games for the console, but I have to purchase more than just the game. So, I hope I like it.

I think the implication is that, Laura is so innocent that there really isn't much for Silent Hill to throw at her. It doesn't bother trying to torment a child who has nothing to really throw at it guilt wise. Then there's the fact that everything we see is from James' perspective and so the moment James comes to understand both Eddie and Angela, it is too late. Having to take Eddie's life but leaving Angela behind. No idea if they're going to add any extra endings or what not but I fear they do not understand the subtlety that makes the originals hit as hard as they do. Great video regardless. Just thought I'd leave a thought of my own.

I think if bloober team HAD remade homecoming, they would have room to actually improve it and do different things. Instead, they’re just repeating a lot of the same problems so hard it looks like a homecoming tribute.

I am still a bit sceptical about the remake. But what I love most about it is the outdoor design and aesthetic, they truly nailed it. Not keen on the interiors though. Great work on the Pendulum!
