Beautiful, master work
Beautiful..I like the use of lighting
That grain though!
surprised you saw any through the CZcams compression! haha
Beautiful review! If anyone has questions about Dehancer, please let us know in the comments
😂 good one👍
Nice Tristan Barton drop?
I don't know how but you nailed the editing on the throw. Just as good as the films
🤣
This video will be randomly massive
Very random to have this video recommended to me by good old youtube. But I am not complaining. That was fun!
What microphone would you recommend for audio recording and content creation? I’ve been using a hyper X solocast and Quadcast but they’re both quite hyper sensitive and end up picking up background audio what make it a mission for me to stream and make videos from home
I'm a big Rode guy, their wireless lavs and onboard mics are great for quick and easy content creation, and if you slap one of the onboard mics on a pole, you have a boom!
@@SamDavisonFilm aight sweet, yea I’ve been looking to upgrade for ages, back in 2020 I tore my acl n was stuck home so I started streaming and stuff didn’t really look into any good mics until now ahah, appreciate the recommendation man
Wow, have you considered doing digital art? During Covid I tore my acl and ended up investing in an IPad and would draw for days on end, would love to see more artwork from you
❤ mind-blowing
he made a film of making a film without any ideas.
This is amazing, I’m at the park currently trying to brain storm for a short film idea for class and the only idea I could come up with was ‘having trouble finding an idea for a short film’ and then I stumbled onto this video and you guys nailed it perfectly 😭.
Wait why didn't what the narrator said happen??
What the F. Why does this have so few views!! I loved it
Wow... absolutely amazing work!!! Everything about it was fantastic! I am a composer, and I would love to collaborate with you on a project some time. Please let me know if you would be interested.
Looks amazing!!
Truly amazing video, it's rare I actually get sucked into and invested into a youtube vide. Great work!!
That’s dope
That was brilliant haha
that elevator at the start looks really familiar, where did you film that scene?
this was shot entirely at UNSW in Sydney!
liked the idea, love from india
I adore short films because i have a very small attention span but usually they dont feel like they have a hearty enough story or they have good story line but production value and acting can be poor. This on the other hand, it is the best of everything. Interesting and fun story, amazing acting and production value, all in such a short span of time. Has all the best parts of big motion pictures but an easy pallitable size. Hope it gets even more buzz for you guys because it really deserves to be seen.
wow, that’s so kind, thankyou so much!
a piece of art, really goooood
nice one
Great job! 👏👏👏
When you have the production skills and ideas, but no budget 😅. This was great.
Amazing! True craftmenship from everyone invloved. As the general consensus seems to be from everyone else in the comments, I would love to see more of Simon and see it turned into a series. When I clicked the link, I was shocked that this was not a tailer for a full blown production given the quality. Truly incredible job all around. Beautiful visualy and impeccable acting.
Sorry if my comment doubled up. My previous comment seemed to have disapeared on my end.
thankyou so much!!!
Brilliant! As seems to be the general consensus, I too want to see more of Simon. The team seemed to work incredibly well together and I really think this could go places. The film is super polished and professional that I was genuinely shocked that it wasnt a tailer for a huge film production. Amazing work and a big round of applause to everyone involved.
thankyou so much! means the world!
It is well deserved
Would highly reccomend !
PLEASE tell me theres more of simon or at least going to be. I would binge a series of these! It is SO good!
Thank you so much. I hope so, I would be up for it in a heartbeat.
I remember Stranger Than Fiction, but this is SO MUCH BETTER. Haha!
I don't know how this only has 319 likes. This is so good, congratulations!
VERY nicely done!!!!!!!!
thanks David!
I loved that there was a narrator. That aspect made me want to keep watching to hear what he would say next. Great job on this film.

Very nice. Well done!
thankyou!
Remarkably unique, well done!
thanks so much!
that's amazing! I love it
thanks so much, I'm glad!
Amazing film! I really loved the ideia!
I am always astonished when someone trying to tell me how to make a video doesn't understand the basics of sound recording.
will never pass up an opportunity to learn! what could we have done better? (keeping in mind there was no crew on this one, just mia and i and our camera haha)
Many scenes have terrible reverb. You have to figure out how to reduce reverb. (There are no reverb filters.) If, as you say, you were recording sound with just your camera, it might be time to use an external microphone. If you used an external microphone, perhaps you should use a different type, such as a lavaliere or a small shotgun You might also consider hanging blankets on the walls where you have a lot of reverb. You might decide to shoot sequences in places (unlike an elevator) that have less reverb. (Was shooting inside an elevator essential to this video?) It's said that sound is half the movie. It certain deserves as much consideration as the visual. @@SamDavisonFilm
appreciate the notes, thanks!
Nice!
Thanks!
sorry Sam, but MY brain did not compute to this short ??
bahaha - ive NEVER come across a film like this one, brilliant idea... loved it... and it was kinda funny hahaha
haha thanks so much!
It was SO good!
So funny. 😂😂😂🤣
This is beautiful and refreshing.
thanks so much!
Sorry to bother you, you guys made a perfect short film. Can I repost this video to a Chinese video website? I will mark the link to your original video and also the link to the actor's home page. It doesn't matter if I'm not allowed to reprint it, this is your creation. Again, you guys did a great job ! I can also help you add Chinese subtitles if you want to upload your videos to Chinese streaming platforms.
hey, thanks so much for the comment! we're really flattered by your offer to share it, but we're keeping it to our own channels for now. really appreciate your support though, it means a lot to us!
