In this comparison, I prefer the original a thousand times. There is no way to give that ultra photorealistic look, with technologies that were removed in the remaster, such as debris physics. Too many bad decisions were made in the remaster.

I was reading the comments and I think that the most nostalgic purists criticize very small things about the remaster, which do not affect the final result of the game in any way. I never liked the Transformers look of 2 and luckily they fixed it in 3 (respecting the color palette of Crysis 1 a little more). In this remaster the lighting is 100% better, more natural and they also updated the color palette of the textures to help with the photorealistic sensation. I got the remaster. PS: the water textures are the achilles heel in the remaster.

Idk i dont really like wrc generations, driving in it always feels like you're floating and not even touching the ground,even on tarmac,just doesn't feel like you're rallying, feels like you're just surviving, I'd much rather take EA Wrc or Dirt Rally 2.0

06:28-06:36 Neon signs look so better in Definitive edition they not static, more realistic. But orginal look more sharp and colorful, so i use with Reshade for Definive Edition

Both games still being great. Each game got good fun.

The main difference that I see is that the original seems like illuminated by a cold fluorescent light and the remaster uses a warmer incandescent light 😂 Cryengine was always much ahead of it's time... Both looks realistic.

So what instigated me looking this up was thinking my laptop wouldn't run it and then crushing low settings. With fsr3 and frame gen, over 30 always, easy 60 most of the time on ultra.

What's interesting is that at low settings it looks only about 50% as good as a game from an older generation Unreal Engine game (3 or 4) that would run at 150 fps.... That clearly shows, aside from most other games released since effin Cyberpunk 2077, that something foul is going on. (And Cyberpunk's performance is ironically the least complained about part, because it stimulates the poser instinct that's common among gamers.)

The original Version is much darker/dirty which fits to the atmosphere. Redux seems like they added a bunch of lighting effects on everything without optimizing or thinking if it actually looks good

As for Burnout Revenge, the PS2 version is the one I stick with. The Xbox 360 version is hard to ram other racers in a race and the glowing effect on the background is such a nuisance to look at it.

Why does mine struggles? I have gtx 1060 also

I like Snowrunner a lot but sometimes the main gameplay loop of carrying massive cargo across a map (or across multiple maps) get tiring, especially as later cargo missions require many trips (or very creative workarounds like overloading/truck trains). The smaller delivery missions and scout gameplay of exploring/off roading is more fun, so Expeditions may be a better game for my preferences.

For anyone struggling with stutters in this game, it's because the shader pre-caching is poorly implemented. You can fix it by adding some modified settings to the Engine.ini file for the game. I made a post on Reddit answering how to do this and how I figured it out; look it up, Pacific Drive Performance Fix - THE REAL DEAL, NO MORE STUTTERS.
