Ohhhh 1 hour tutorial! Im so excited for this one, thank you !
Enjoy :)
A tutorial for this kind of design was requested by a follower over on Instagram, so here it is!
đ haaai, thank you so so much
Amazing. Id love it if it had like a color gradient đČ
touch grass?
Did you ever find a way?
đ czcams.com/video/dDrRuPUy8e8/video.html
And czcams.com/video/5kpl2eSDMD8/video.html
Just for curiosity, may i know what are those boxes at the bottom half of the video?
The secret ingredient ;)
Very helpful. I like listening to your thought process and working along with you. Thanks!
Please make this and release a video showing it off
Oh yes pls! That would be amazing đ
No. It will collect dust. And the world already has too many useless plastic things.
What about the blender tutorial, though?
@@chrisprenn Yes please!
I would Love to see the Blender Tutorial for such masterpice
@@chrisprenn Tuts are good.
@@onjofilms you collect dust
Hello, I followed the tutorial every step of the way. My problem starts at 1h50 min. Strangely, creating the liquid doesn't work. When I start a new project the fluids run normally but on this project it doesn't work. If you can help
One thing i can think of is make sure to have transforms and scales applied
The number is pi, also known as the golden ratio. đ
pi is not the golden ratio, you meant phi
It's the "Golden Angle"
@@chrisprenn but but it's a spiral haha
This is really nice learned alot, thank you
nice learning a lot
me too - never stop learning đ
If this one is no good for high detailed models what scanner would be
Maybe the Mini 2 is better for you - see my previous comment
I was thinking about trying this to make model making a little faster but i still dont no they are high and i dont want to spend 400 bucks and then it not be good enough yours look good but can it do crazy details like say a very high detail anime or video game characters
3D scanning - at least with the given inexpensive technology - has physical limitations. There is the Revopoint Mini 2 for higher details on smaller objects (figurines, coins, ...). And then there is the Range 2 for bigger objects (people, cars, ...). You have to decide which scanner is best for your situation. Sorry ;)
I love chris P! you make the colest things. Im thinking of getting a 3D printer I will try this project as soon as i get one!!!! This is my favorite channel!
Go for it!
thanks Cris your awesome
Thank you!
đ Check out the video description for important links!
đ„thanks!
6 years later and eevee 3x more powerful
Congratulations, what did you use as hdri?
This: polyhaven.com/a/neon_photostudio
@@chrisprenn thanks
NOTE: Instead of repeating the same node group 10x you can now use a "Repeat Zone" đ
Very clever. Have you ever thought of modeling organic things like muscles, using this kind of techniques?
Hi Chris, thank you for your great tutorials! I have a question: if you want to combine particle collision with an object and use the same method to deflect the particles when they collide among themselves? I tried the method you used previously by just displacing them when they get close, but that gives a jittery motion not reminiscent of real collisions. I would like them to continue with their "reflected" velocity following the collision as with the collision with the diamond. There is probably not a short answer, but I think itâs an interesting problem.
Hi, have you seen this: czcams.com/video/vJxVzS9gFYY/video.html ?
@@chrisprenn Hi Chris, thanks, I have seen it, but it's not what I'm looking for. In that tutorial particles are simply displaced if they are closer than a specified limit resulting in jittery movements. I wonder if and how it's possible to simulate a more accurate collision among the particles, i.e. how they retain velocity and fly apart according to pre-collision velocity.
@@torher436 Particles are reflected accurately upon collision (no "specified limit") and I don't see jittery movements. Increase the sub frame calcs shown in the video (you can now use a repeat zone for that) and you can always do higher fps for smoother videos. But other than that đ€·đ»ââïž
Thanks, will try that đ
I see you did this with Blender 4.3 alpha. I didn't notice any 4.3 specific features being used (in fact I think this video would still be valid for Blender 2.8) Did you use any 4.3 specific features that I missed? How do you like the alpha version so far?
Hi, I usually use the latest version for playing with new features but you are right, there is nothing special for this tutorial
Great video sir
Thank you! â„ïž
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
You could have copied the height you need for the Screw modifier by simply copying the Z dimension in Object Mode before a modifier.
I had to get the measure tool in there so I could mention that copying measurements no longer works đ€Ș (used to in older versions I think before 2.8)
Idk, does the add-on 'Drop It' no longer work wit the newer versions. However, great video, as always.
Addons are changing to an online repository and I haven't really checked what's there
Thank you for this! I've been strugling modeling threads fused with the rest of the object. I've always done it the dirty way, modeling it as a separate object and put it on top of the surface.
What do you think? Good enough for your purpose? Comment here âŹ
Hi, thanks for the video, whats the difference between the Range 1 and Range 2, I have looked everywhere for that information and can't find it anywhere.
Good question I unfortunately don't have an answer for since there isn't much info out there about the old Range. đ Hope you manage to find some details. However, if you go for the current version 2 don't forget to use my coupon code to save some money!
Very informative! My local library has one of these available to use and now I feel like I'll be a pro trying to do some reverse engineering on some cameras. Thanks for the video!
wow thank you so much
Thank you so much for this xx
I'm currently trying to re-create this setting in Blender 4.2 but realize that there are no "Animation Nodes" in my Blender and they can't be easily installed as an Add-On via a GitHub ZIP download. Since I'm still very new to Blender, please allow me to ask if anyone has any suitable idea? Regards, Martin.
Check chrisp.zone for the link to download the best AN version and use an older version of Blender (since the Python versions need to match) I think i had AN running a few weeks ago in Blender 4.1 - I can check tomorrow if you can't get it going
@@chrisprenn Chris, many thanx for your quick answer. I'll aggree "Python versions need to match" is the problem to deal with. So if you like and if it's right, please confirm that the official build of AN was no longer updated so others (like you) spend (a lot of) time to make it possible using AN also with current and upcomming versions of blender? Is this a kind of what someone else will call 'a fork' of a pice of original software? BTW: I have currently helped myself by writing my own python script instead of using AN since i am only interested in scaling 3D bar charts with values from a JSON file and that's working well with 16 lines of code đ€. Later on i will also try to read a MIDI file and use embedded CC data to "bake keyframes" out of the data values (0-127) to rotate e.g. some knobs and move some faders. Combined with some screen recording of an original running virtual instrument in a DAW i hoopefully get something like this: czcams.com/video/QIgkaDuJeQQ/video.html
@martinhullwegen1005 all credit for keeping AN alive goes to 3DSinghVFX Awesome you made your own script đđ»
Very helpful and well explained. Please do more when you can. Thanks!
