A lot of boring and annoying process of UV islands rotation was skipped to make it more enjoyable for you to watch it, guys. Obvious and irrelevant parts were removed. If your textures not pointed in the correct direction, just go and simply rotate your UVs.

Hi, guys. Here you can see my result of approximately 2 months of work. More than 170 layers (forest assets) i painted in the Photoshop by using Wacom tablet. All of the layers later were arranged in After Effects 2.5D space. Butterflies were modelled, textured and animated by me in Blender.     Thanks for the tutorial. After having applied transforms for both the mesh and curve, and adding the curve modifier, selecting the curve, my mesh gets 10x bigger....Why is this happening and how can I fix this? :( Thanks

    It does not work for me. I applied the transformations, followed all the directions, etc... The fish gets giant and streched out. I solved it by using a regular bezier curve instead of a path ...does that make sense? I´m not very experienced in Blender. I´m using 3.6 version

    Thank-you! For others, in Blender 3.4.1 the step Ctrl-Shift-Alt-C can be found under Object.Set Origin Also, you have to set the Fish AND Path's parent to be the Empty.

    Great video! Do you know of a way to get depth haze/fog combined with physical sun and sky and HDRIs in IPR? I can't seem to find how to do it, but it can be achieved in many other renderers..

    Follow these instructions exactly and it should work, even in 2.8x. When you do apply the curve modifier, if your mesh isnt rigged it WILL deform (stretch, scale). But you can just stretch it back out again by using scaling, preferably along the chosen deformation axis. OK video but could be a bit more descriptive. And don't use an imported model thats already rigged and probably got constraints on it.

    When I add the curve modifier to the fish, My fish scales up and non of the deformation axis worked. Did I miss something or did I do something wrong?

      Before adding curve modifier, did you apply transformations for curve and your mesh? And are you sure you set the origins correct position? This might help.
