I mean that's great and all, but i paid like $120 for that planet audio amp eight years ago lol.. how much was the Everest retailing for ten years ago? $1,000+? The planet audio amp was phenomenal for the money as long as you went into knowing you weren't actually getting anywhere near 5000 watts, which is what i did.

That amp is rated 900 divided by 4. With the size of the amp and the power wire size would not even allow you to draw the current to do 900 x4.

I bought one of the evox2 400.4 about two months ago. I was pretty happy with it until yesterday. Driving down the street with the volume at 15. I have the same deck used in the video sony dsx-gs80. Volume goes to 50 for reference. It just stopped making sound. Still turned on and off. No fuse blown. Wasn't hot. No smoke or smell. Everything was hooked up correctly with quality wire and rca. Gains set properly with oscope and dmm. Just stopped for no reason. Luckily the place i bought it from warrantied it but needless to say I'm shopping for a different amp. In over the decades of being a cat audio enthusiast. This is the first amp that's ever failed on me. Should have bought a rockford or jl.

Can you test soundigital evox 2 5000.1

I have a planet audio 2600w for 3 months pushing a american bass hawk 12" sub at 2 ohms and it moves and sounds very good. And just bought a recoil red 2500 5000 watt amp so when the planet audio burns down. I'll see how long it lasts i have a fan blowing air straight at it cuz it gets hot 😂

My sound stream pn4.1000d does the same watts rms at a fraction of a price.

I understand that a customer sent this to you. You probably want to test another amp unopened same model. The 900.4 is slightly shy of the the ratings but the 400.4 is slightly over. We ran tests on both but your measured values are way below on what we measured. Uncertified bridged at 13.36v we measured an output of 1386 watts at 4 ohms. Voltage was somewhere around 52vac.
