IQ is indeed a narrow obsession. Some people are very money savvy (and become successful business people , and others are very academic (but couldn’t run a successful business, even a small one). Success can be defined in many, many ways.

It does make sense that some groups of people are born with more intelligence than others, however I question these experiments because its true that there are a lot of environmental factors at play which would interfere with the results. Asians for example, are well known to have very strict parents who prioritise their kid's education more than others. Then there's the matter of setting the criteria for intelligence. Are these IQ tests agreed upon across the board? It's tough to say and I'm happy to accept the truth but only if its done right. This isnt conclusive proof at all

If the science in accurate then you can make predictions based on IQ. However that might not be enough to indicated how well someone will do in life. Question. How are all white people considered a race? So, are we grouping Germans in with the Irish? That seem like a stretch. Are Spanish people considered white? What about the Portugués? This matters because many Hispanics that score low on IQ tests, are purebred Spaniards. Then their is more genetic diversity in Africa, than any other place on Earth. Second what on earth cause this and doesn't this mean intelligence in g factor cannot be genetic because the scale of natural selection is much more longer than a couple of decades ago and so its been used to try and undermine the idea that there would be a genetic influence on intelligence , but certainly it can be the flynn effect can affect the non-genetic aspects of intelligence because genes account for maybe 50% of the variance may be higher could be as high as 80% for adults Really the latest research on this view based on date in health care and advances in nutritions and there's evidence that its possible reversing It's not an unreasonable connection but does it negate the idea that there's a genetic influence not logically at all but it's very interesting so that if you take an iq test today but you take the score and use the tables that were available in 1940 you're going to wind up with a much higher iq number so are we really smarter than a couple of generations ago No but we might be able to solve problems better a little better and make use of our g better because of things like sesame street and other curriculums in schools more people are going to school so there are a lot of factors here to disentangle Its impossible it disentangle nature vs nurture The genetics is a very high influence and the environment is less than people believe most people believe the environment plays a big role im not so sure IQ is a score and a iq score is a very good estimate of the g factor ,You can't measure g directly There's no direct measure 1850s all over again
