You need some substrate brother makes the tank look better and it holds a bunch of beneficial bacteria.

Good luck with the fish babies, lots and lots of fish babies. haha i see why you call him Kobe, i did salt water for a few months and just decided i wasnt into it and went back to fresh water.
Sometimes I think about just making it a fresh water tank, and then I got back and stick it out, I definitely spend the most time observing it

Why is the banana plant floating? Shouldn't it be planted on the substrate? Maybe some liquid fert or root tabs can help.
Definitely going to try root tabs. I head they can float in low flow tanks, but I might try to put it in the substrate

You may Have to re-home one of them if the aggressor don’t stop chasing. However, you will get comments on tank size for two Oscars. Usually stated to have at least 125 gallon tank size. I have two Oscars in a 75 Gallon mixed tank with African cichlids but they were all brought up together. Keep a close eye on them to determine what is best. I am currently awaiting for my 230 gallon just to put my Oscars in it along with other fish. I plan on keeping South American cichlid and African cichlids separate from now on.
That’s definitely what I was thinking, I posted a 24 hour update after this video and they seem to be getting along fine, I definitely wouldn’t mind having a few African cichlids mixed in as well, I think they would be out a lil character in the fish. And my Oscar’s don’t bother other fish just each other

i am not an expert either, though that does look like water lettuce. its so good for breeding livebearers. this tank is gonna look great when all the plants grow in!!

Looks to be female, males are more spotted! I feed my girl frozen pinky mice, frozen small/medium mice, live Florida lizards & live tree frogs

Spoiled him on those feeders lol earthworms family trust me and shrimp too my Texas goes crazy for shrimp. Also save some money and get that beast carnivore pellets.

Looks like a male , beautiful one too. I have a 16inch male jag with a 10 inch Red Devil female. He’s very timid and shy aswell , he’s not aggressive at all towards the Red Devil, they get on great.
