The 5 Things I Used Most During Vanlife | They are not what you'd think
After Traveling for roughly a total of 70 days, I can safely say that the five things I have included in this video are by far the most used Items I personally have used in Vanlife.
Maybe these items seem pretty obvious and lame to you overall but the truth is, I want to give an honest and realistic look at what you ARE GOING TO BE USING MOST in you van travels. When you build your van or travel vehicle, know that his is what you are going to be using all the time so make sure to add space for these in the build.
And again, I have absolutly no affiliate links to any of these and the only way I am making money is through CZcams advertisements so know that this is as realistic as I could possibly make this video, even if it means many of the items seem obvious.

45 Days on the Road making to most memorable and incredible memories I will ever have and now its over.... a sad day indeed. Quartzite is know as a very common place for people traveling, especially in the vanlife community, to go and stay for free with hundreds if not thousands of other nomads living similar lifestyles. Personally I have found interest in seeing the city and the town less than meeting people with similar mindsets but overall the trip was of course worth it. The Imperial Sand Dunes would be an incredible place to spend an entire day exploring but unfortunatly the government is full of dicks that make stupid rules for sand dunes and permits. I am not a fan. Buuuut to be honest, I might not have ever seen the center of the world if it wasn't for that happening so here I am seeing another weird thing that people make. It's getting tiring seeing the fr...

Slab City and Bombay Beach are certainly places that spark the interest for anybody interested in a Nomadic lifestyle and I suppose that's how I found myself wound up in these towns. In pinch you can use just a tiny shake of cornstarch & brush it out. Works as well as any dry shampoo, & as with either, it works best if usedt before you need to. I know folks who have only used water, & I use water with a bit of vinegar added… if you use that after shampooing, it neutralizes the suds & leaves hair smooth. Old rocker Rod Stewart achieved his spikes by using bar soap. Really depends upon your skin type & climate. I’d never recommend Dawn bc it contains petroleum, and please don’t use it on pets, especially young ones, any soap that suds will kill fleas on contact.

      I have really liked higher quality Microfiber $10 clothes for wiping down dishes....I understand the inability to wash laundry all the time, but i would bring about 10 of these with for wiping dishes down....it makes me feel like they are cleaner, and you could wash them out at a gas station or rest area sink and let line air dry without anyone really getting mad....also can do that with Ex Official Traveler Underwear, they dry in the sun in like 2 hours or less and take up no room when stored

    Hey!

  • @maggiealena
    @maggiealena Před 2 dny

    There is much more to living on the road than 1 months budget. First you need a mechanically sound vehicle to start with. Than a budget of what one can afford to spend. Savings is a must, the more the merrier. You have maintenance whether you are on the road or live to rent. The more you drive the more expensive and more maintenance is needed. Failing to keep up the vehicle will end up costing more because you will need to buy another. Living on the road comes with sacrifice's. Not everyone has sold a house to live on the road. So people need to remember this. Live with in your means until you can afford better. If your on Social security your going to need to sit in one place more than someone who can afford more. If you over 70 you can alway find work to supplement short falls. Younger than 70 don't have that luxury. Your stuck basically until your 70. Even younger not on social security need a job, making a living wage. People homeless and a vehicle have to have jobs. No job mean not drivinh anywhere and just living in a vehicle. That has to be living hell living in a vehicle and no employment. Vehicles must be maintained. It takes money to do that or replace them if you have the cash saved to do this.

  • @maggiealena
    @maggiealena Před 2 dny

    Traveling also includes vehicle maintenance. Oil change, oil filter, air breather filter. Tires. Brakes. Radiator coolent) antifreeze. Once a year Radiator flush. Hoses serpentine belt, Havac maintenance. Tune ups. Light bulbs go out and need replacement. Windshield wipers. Not staying up on this maintenance will cost much more in replacing a vehicle. $654 is average a year on maintenance. From what i have seen in all the videos i have seen over the years this is left out of the budgets. Of course it depends on how much you drive. If you're spending $400 a month. You are driving a lot more miles than a broke dude. I guarantee you, if you neglect the above you will begin having major problems soon. Living on the road over owning a home in the long run costs you more with nothing to show for it. If you full own a home. Renters that is different.
