I use to be happy
It's a lovely, simple pop song seeking a sound. Little did the band know what a radical sound would grow from beneath such songs. MBV had a whole album of such songs it strangely failed to revive after Loveless.

I just recently saw the latest Spiderman movie and heard this track on there. The whole time I was thinking about finding that song and hoping it wasn't some original instrumental for a movie. Thanks to Shazam I found the song thus leading me here!

I heard it in the movie, but didn’t see it credited in the end. I watched the movie twice now, the first time hearing I was wondering what song it was. The second time I realized the song, looked out for it, heard it clearer myself, then waited for the end credits just to double check but again didn’t find it myself. Maybe it’s there but I looked too hard

Is there live footage of DI? I got into them with Sleight of Hand, this one and a couple of other songs thanks to the old old old audiogalaxy, around 2001 more or less. You would subscribe to groups dedicated to your favorite genres and had a chat/forum dedicated to the genre, the revolution was that when you didn't put your songs on queue, you would automatically listen to songs suggested by other users. Among many useless indie and britpop tracks I discovered some gold. I think DI appeared at the same time in my dream pop, shoegaze and post rock groups.
