Try Outland OTT Tune. It's well worth it.
How far did you tow?
We did about 1500km on the trip.
My truck just started doing this at 38k. It's only done it twice. Now i have 40k. And it did it again just a little over. My fluid has been changed and added back at the correct level. ( my truck was not low) I changed the fluid and added it back in with about a half a quart more than what came out. Drained it to a trickle. And that did not solve my issue. I believe this has something to do with how these trucks are tuned from the factory. Because i can replicate it. By feathering the pedal while driving at low speeds in lower gears. 35 to 45 mph in 3rd and 4th gear. To me it feels like the truck is trying to shift, but doesn't because it doesn't because it's not getting enough throttle input to make it down shift. That's just my theory. Has anyone else notice another issue.. Where your driving, your giving and your slowing down to turn. You let off gas, once you make the turn. You put your foot back on the gas. And then the truck doesn't immediately respond. But then then the gear kicks in. And you feel the truck jolt as you start to accelerate? That is definitely caused by the shitty stock tune. And I believe the shudder is too. I've heard thus before. And others have had transmission replaced, flushed the transmission, replaced the torque converter. Only to find out, it didn't fix their issue. I believe it's a tuning issue. Not a physical transmission problem. Keep in my mind there was 2k miles between the time mine done it. And i figured it happened under the exact same circumstance. Where i was basically feathering the gas to increase fuel economy. That's the only time it happens.
Deadpool's gonna hate this one
Hows the fuel economy?
It was hard on fuel. 18L/100km. Double what it usually is.
@@wheelinndealin3906 thank you!
Where do I get this product from? I have the exact same car
Had this issue on my 17. Resolved with a atf flush. Been over a year. Resolved the shudder for me. Thanks for the vid. Cheers
@@PNW-LOGGING-HOMESTEAD did you do a drain and fill or complete pressure flush
@@kenni411 complete pressure flush @130k miles
@@kenni411 at the time there wasn't very many videos of the third gen tacoma having shuddering . So I started at the wheels and diffs. Checking and servicing what was needed... noticed that it was only at certain corners at around 1500rpm so ... worried that I had accidentally forgotten a trans fluid change I just opted for the pressure flush. Fluid looked great.. but i would wager that some of the properties of the fluids had diminished to a point where it was not allowing the transmission to work as designed. IMO
Drain and fill. It’s just an additive so you should only use one tube.
Your video would’ve been great if you hadn’t had that music playing
Thanks everyone who answered my comment/question. I really appreciate it. I'm guessing there's a problem with my torque converter. Since it's still under warranty I'm going to see what the dealership finds. Again, thanks everyone!
@@jp.taco.tues.colorado can you report back here any of your findings? I’m sure we all are curious …
@@kenni411 My next step is taking it back to the dealership to see what they find. I'll keep you posted on what they say. What I've done so far: transmission flush and OTT tune. The tune improved it slightly but only because the throttle is more aggressive. Like I said before, it won't do it at all if I'm very aggressive. It only does this in 1st gear from a stop and accelerating normally. I'm guessing it has something to do with the torque converter. My symptoms just don't match from any "shudder" or vibration issues that I've researched.
@@jp.taco.tues.colorado I’m in the same boat as you … I have felt a slight shudder probably from 3rd to 4th gear but rarely … my truck in the winter cold start seems to go into neutral when driving like the transmission is slipping … my hunch is low fluid from parking backwards on the decline the fluid is cold and hasn’t reached the gears … I’m pissed if this thing is gonna have issues … $49k with sales tax is $$$ for issues down the line … stay in touch and I will with you also!
Rumor has it Toyota dealers are supposed to do a full inspection before the buyer picks the truck up… it’s all over Tacomaworld forums that the dealers are selling these with low fluid … this can cause transmission failure … bring it to the dealer and get the fluid checked …
I have a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD OR Automatic. If there's a vibration on accelerating from a stop in 1st gear and it goes away before shifting into 2nd gear, what might be the cause of this? I've researched this thoroughly and the only common issues are vibration at particular highway speeds but I haven't found anything with my particular problem. Please help!
Check the fluid levels … Chloe on CZcams and tacomaworld forum have many mentions of low fluid due to dealers not filling or checking it before prep for the buyer.
@@kenni411I had the transmission fluid changed and it’s exactly the same. Frustrating.
@@jp.taco.tues.colorado you might have already done irreversible damage by driving it low for all those miles … I made an appointment this week for Toyota to do an oil change and report that issue … while I am still under warranty …
My steering wheel vibrates at 60mph on the highway
I have the same problem for around 8 months now. I get around it by manually shifting after 40 mph. Definitely going to try this. I was quoted $4,000 for rebuilt transmission.
How about an update on the camper 👍
I just the entire hood on the 2024 Denali 2500 and did not remove or disassemble anything
My 23 has done this since new.
@@jamesonhuntress6415 same with my 2022
so has my 2022 noticed it with the ac on especially ,got around to checking the fluid and by my estimates it was 3/4 of a quart low added that back in ,didnt fix it ,added lubeguard...didnt fix it
@@zacinnc78 did you go to the dealer ?
@@kenni411 no I didn't
Okay transmission fluid flush or transmission drain and fill? Those are two different things.
I would love to try this but I’m afraid it would void my warranty. I’ve got 11,000 miles on my Toyota Tacoma it’s a 2023 Trd sport four-wheel-drive and they’ve already replaced the torque converter and for a while it was better but now it’s back again. This is a real issue and I don’t understand why Toyota doesn’t own up to it. I trusted Toyota about this truck thinking it would be my last truck, but I’ve not fell in love with this truck like I thought I would. It’s red it’s beautiful it looks amazing everybody compliments me on it and then I drive it and I’m so disappointed. I think I will probably trade it in a couple years and I have time I’m keeping it for the rest of my life. I had a 2010 Toyota Tacoma Trd sport 348,000 miles on that truck before I decided to get something else and I regret ever letting it go because I never had it in the shop for anything major just routine maintenance silly me to think I would get the same service in my next Toyota Tacoma. I have had so many people tell me they’ll never buy another Toyota Toyota just lost its way it used to take care of the customer and that used to have a stellar quality product. But like I said used too!
Try premium fuel.
Where do you add it??
How do you put it if there is no transmission stick fluid ?
u have to get under it and open the bolt and squeeze it in directly
How many tubes did you add?
Thank you 🙏
Well done
Thank you for this video, i just added this to my shit box 2006 toyota tacoma with 300k miles, it seems to have worked 🎉🎉😂
I owned a 2005 and it was a let down. I had repeated issues with the AWD and a prematurely failing A/C. Also the rear seats don't fold flat like most SUV's and are not removable.
thank you for this!!
Thanks for sharing! Please keep us updated as to your progress and if you find any others for sale.
So helpful. Thx so much.
Glad to help.
My brand new 2023 has done this since I bought it. Toyota doesn't care. They won't do anything and sucks because my local mechanic doesn't want to change my transmission fluid either...I am so dumb when it comes to car stuff but I can build websites! haha. I need to try this...I've never fallen in love with my truck because of this damn shudder.
find a new mechanic dude. if he cant work on sealed transmissions hes a not qualified
Thank God I just got my 2018 tacoma and didn't notice it till about a week later I'll give this a shot
I was looking for a video on that Toyota Winnebago. Wanted to see what you did with it, but I guess nothing yet. I was looking at the 200w Renology kit for mine. I do have 3 different solar devices, from 1800 to 300w. Maybe that will be enough and I have the solar panels.
Nine days ago I bought a 1989 Toyota dolphin six cylinder. Why did they stop making those? The engines are easier to work on and cheaper than an RV. I’m trying to find someone to do a few changes in it not many. I can’t do it myself. I paid 7K and I bought it because it’s a Toyota. Heard a lot of good things about a Toyota. I don’t have a generator in that compartment. I have a propane tank. There’s a lot I gotta learn at least my air conditioner still works. Grateful for that, but they redid some things in it in 2006 concerning rebuilding the engine and kind of refurbished the inside. I don’t see why people put bumper stickers all over their vehicles. Not even on the inside. Thank God, they took the carpet out of the one I bought. It’s a nice floor in it. It’s vinyl but it’s dirty. Not even as dirty as this one. I hate that upholstery mine has red in it, which I’m just going to clean with a Bissell. It’s not bad at all. I have collected bark cloth and bark cloth eraser fabric for the last decade. A lot of it new old stock. that’s what I’m gonna use in it. I’m watching so many of these videos just for ideas.
I started to have same problem with my 2018 tacoma sport, so i took it to the dealer since still under warranty they told me its the torque converter, but now they told me that its going to takes months to get a new torque converter since they have backed up orders, I’m going to try that product that you are talking about. 🙏🏽
any word yet?

So it's not even a functional air Intake??? That sux
On a gas yes On a Deisel it’s functional
The air intake was designed for duramax trucks and is not applicable on the gas engines. It’s cheaper for gm to only produce 1 hood and just block off the intakes on the gas engines.
It is

looking at getting a set of these same FN wheels. Do you like them? Havnt heard anything bad about them myself.
Just got a 2017 Tacoma for my son. And when it drops to say 5 or 6th low rpm we had this vibration. Almost like riding on the ribs on the side of the interstate. Vibrates entire truck. Where is link for the additive ?
I added it in the description. You can also search it on Amazon. Thanks. Hope it does the trick.
did it work? im having the same issue
If you got a 3D printer, you can make your own center rings (PLA probably not the best choice though)
Is this product only for automatic transmission?
Yes. I think it is just for auto. Is your manual doing something similar?
How many miles did you have when it happened?
120k miles
I just added it to my 09 tacoma. it was shuddering pretty bad. My mechanic did a partial fluid change and it helped. It worked immediately. It even shifts smoother! Great stuff, I hope it lasts!
Beautiful. Glad it helped.
Hey what exactly did you feel?? Today my 08 started to shake slightly after shifting into second gear….. but only for about 3 seconds
We have a 2023 Tacoma that has had two torgue converters and a remanned tranmission replaced, Toyota is now telling us that is a characteristic of the Tacoma and basically we have to live with it.
I would try this and see if it works. Let me know.
Have you looked in to a tune like OTT?
It’s because of low transmission fluid, you can find the dealer never filed them when selling the vehicle … Toyotas mess up… look at tacomaworld forums … tons of comments and issues reported.
I think this is it. The setup I’ve been looking for. Thank you for the video
Glad I could help
