Needles Eye Tunnel-Black Hills

It is impossible to find a more dramatic tunnel along the road than the Needles Eye Tunnel. It feels as if you are perched atop awe-inspiring granite spires. From the valley floor, towering Black Hills tors rise in all directions. To appreciate the views, we pulled over to the small parking area just before the tunnel. Mountain goats are occasionally seen here, but today we didn't see any.
The Infamous Begging Burros-Custer State Park

It was one of the highlights of our tour to see these much sought after animals. These particular burros are known for peeking their heads into cars looking for snacks, as they are extremely friendly. Treat them with carrots or apples - they are gentle and look forward to the treat.
