The Truth About Post-concussion Syndrome: Long-Term Effects and Recovery
Welcome to our in-depth analysis of post-concussion syndrome (PCS) and its long-term effects. In this video, we delve into the findings from a comprehensive longitudinal study published in the Journal of Neurotrauma. This research examined 285 patients diagnosed with concussion, focusing on those experiencing symptoms for over three months, providing critical insights into the progression and recovery patterns of PCS.
In this video, we explore the complexity of diagnosing and treating PCS. You will learn how multiple symptoms impact recovery time and the importance of early and accurate intervention. We also provide insights into effective and ineffective treatments based on patient feedback. Join us as we delve into the demographic variables influencing PCS recovery, the statistical methods used to analyze recovery patterns, and the role of comorbidities and patient compliance in long-term PCS outcomes.

My eye still hurts but I think it’s kinda helping
Migraines aren't headaches. Headaches are a symptom of migraine.
Generally MRI just say "insignificant" though and nothing happens after
Dralong with this now.
Hey Hanna Is there a way i can reach out to you please
It has been just over 2 yrs. Headaches are beyond horrible. I’ve been on morphine all this time 4 mg. Now he wants to take me off and says it’s literally in my head … I’m terrified of what’s going to happen to me …. I feel very alone
Where in back of the brain?

Guys, the best way to get rid of eye strain to to apply your own saliva inside your eyes every morning, as soon as you wake up. Before you even get up. Just first thing in the morning (unless youve been drinking). Yes,it sounds gross and the first one or two times is a little disgusting but TRUST ME, it works and it’s free. Keep it on there for 10 minutes and then wash off. You can keep replying during that time. The more you add, the better. You feel the relief almost right away and it stays with you all day. Just do it every morning and you will see major improvement. Also eye exercises during the ay help alot. I work on my laptop and computer all day and this saves me.
Helped me. It works
My eye were paining very bad. Please help me
I had a concussion like 5 monthes ago and have been calling emergency because of episodes where its like my brain just sent signals to my body that make it tighten up Also just suddenly kick into attacks that doctors say its anxiety.. could be my brain going into panic out of nowhere..i have struggled with anxiety before so i know the feeling.. i got medication which sended me to the psychological emergency hospital with nonstop panic attacks for like 6 hours... It went on and on and couldnt stop my brain but doctors now just gave me almost the same type of medication to try again.. and im looking for other ways to get my nervous system back in balance to calm my constant stress and the feeling of never rest inside Also the anxiety or panic attacks that show up when my brain gets exhausted.. i dint really know what to do and could need some advice.. im pretty sure that it all got worse by the doctor who saw me right after my concussion just mentioned key signs to be aware of but else said.. rest and you will be good to go in a couple of days.. so i thought.. well okay.. and yeah things was still uncomfortable a few days after and i felt weird when starting work after a week but yeah noone told me to slowly make my brain used to stimulation again so i just went on to push it as much as i could and at work a week later i suddenly got hit by dizziness, panic and almost blacked out.. had to fight to focus on getting on the bus.. i guess kicking me into a stress reaction

Take omega3 fatty acids, vitamin b and do aerobic exercise. You will recover
Thank you please keep it up
I had a good old fashioned skull fracture, landed on my head from about ten feet up. Landed on hard dirt. Anyway, I used to have very strong passion for things, riding dirt bikes, hunting, fishing. Now, 52 y. old. All passion has left. Going to bed seems to be the best and most gravitating pull I feel these days. I have never been able to follow in depth conversations. My brain won’t function well in terms of learning while stressed. So, learning how to thrive in a new job is tough and challenging. The point of impact felt on the rear, middle portion of my head is still sensitive, 42 years post impact. I am blessed by a miracle though. My fractured skull requires the dreaded and feared HALO. Steel cage with adjusting screws, forcing the skull back to a tight seamless unit. Four days after the accident I had several XRays of the rear section of my skull. My skull had grown back together on its own, four days. Total miracle. Thank you dear Jesus.
I have recoverd by just don't caring it😅l❤❤
I fell off a ladder and ended up with a large scalp laceration. I have had pain precisely over the area of injury, which feels like a deep bruise in my skull. It has been about 6 weeks now. I sometimes wonder if it is a small skull crack or fracture in my skull not seen on my post-injury ER CT scan. Sometimes small fractures don't show up immediately after an injury. I can't think of anything to do about it besides vitamin D and calcium. I have had some minor balance problems, which are improving. I have some fatigue, which is slowly improving, and vivid nightmares. This morning was awful dreaming. I was lost in time and space with no way out.
Cervical spine instability get prp in upper cervical ligaments
I have autonomic dysfunction that affects my psns after a traumatic brain injury. My brain liked to tell my heart beating was optional. My heart rate would drop down to the teens. They put a pacemaker defibrillator in. I also do not feel when I have to urinate so I retain urine and get UTIs. I set alarms to remind myself to go to the bathroom. I get constipated. I do not get hungry. My blood pressure stays very low. 90/40. Body temp runs 96.4
Well I had a severe tbi with maximum sheer baby girl hot damn
You mentioned dysautonomia, can POTS happen post concussion?
Deep breaths help my neurons to calm down😊
THIS DIDNT HELP AT ALL IT MADE IT WORSE
Wow!! Super interesting, thank you!
Thanks for looking into the research and explaining that! Lots of great information in here!
Thank you for all these useful information. Can’t wait to learn more !
Thanks for all of the great content!
Great info, thanks
Age 11, I fell from a garage roof onto my back, twisting my body slightly towards my left-side, hitting the back of my head on concrete, with/without loss of consciousness, and completely breaking my left arm near the shoulder joint. I had to spend 6 weeks completely resting until my arm healed. I have most of the symptoms of PCS. My question, this was 40 years ago, can PCS last for decades untreated? After following many medical paths to explain my unexplained “constitutional” symptoms, I am recently understanding the probable long term importance of that fall. This has already left me with a dubious medical history from a doctors point of view. I am male, in the UK. Where do I go from here, after all this time later?
Like anyone cares they just watch as I am tortured to the point of suicide. They would rather go study in school rather than be a wife. What could go wrong with that? O to what a dreadful and wretched torment are three innocent people going to be delivered. Poison suggested, badly guarded, betrayal. Delivered up to horror by drunken executioners. -Nostradamus
There is no recovery.

Thank you for this video. I have a functional neurological disorder and find that these types of MRIs may end up being helpful to be in future.
My brother almost got a concussion riding a bike and he hit a coconut he says it came out of nowhere😂
There was so much talking and hardly any eye relief exercises.
Thank you
Great strategies!
Wow! When you said that brain is trying to heal and at the same time is working to bring us vision, was for me like a revelation. Like Aha! Now I get it. Thank you for sharing these.
