This version of the pretzel is great especially if the leader is quite taller than the follower. The other way the pretzel is taught is really bad unless leader/follower are nearly the same height.

Hey! So I'm really hammering my waltz basics for American smooth, and I feel my ballroom dance shoes "slip / loose grip with the floor" while I'm trying to drive forward on my "1" For example, when I have all my weight on my right leg, I lower, extend my left heel, and as I'm transferring weight and pushing forward with my right foot, my right toes slip while I'm pushing forward 🤔 I'm not sure if the issue is 1) my ballroom shoes no longer have the adequate grip, or 2) I have a misconception of how I'm supposed to "drive forward" / transfer weight to my left foot. Any help would be great! I also started lessons with a FADS pro and will also consult with her for our next lesson in a week

As I was progressing the video basic FoxTrot is thought the way you mentioned for the only reason to teach beginning level students. The timing later changes to SQQ which is is a 4 count.

Can you please explain one thing to me. The music has 4 beats and the basic step has 6 beats. How it is matching musicality. I need a professional output because I started teaching it and I don't even feel the music going in QQSS. Thank you for your time.

Hello, what are the rules when combining the steps? How could it look once you have assembled the steps shown today in a circular dance?

This is my first time to come across this beginners line danc " got to be funky " and I love it very much, it is so easy to follow coz the instructor is soooooh good in teaching. He does it many times so I can easy follow it coz most of the time I easily forgot, but I like the way he teaches coz he does it 3x0r 4x that way people like me who cannot catch right away had the privilege to learn because he had the time or patience to teach again and again.thank you sooooh much, I learned one more line that's easy and I can share it to my friends like the way you teach it here in CZcams and I was able to learn it with a smile 😃 😊 😀 on my face.thanks again and God bless!
