Thank you. I hope you find others of interest.
Another great clip been there but never seen cemetery
Thanks for watching. The cemetery is off the north-south walking track which has been subject to partial closure in recent times.
Australia was settled as a colonial outpost in order to ship goods back to England, based on convict labour and harsh discipline. I don't think the past should be romanticized as some kind of paradise. It was anything but.
Thank you for your feedback. Apart from the music, in which way do you think the video was romanticised? They were certainly hard and exploitative times and it is important that we understand how events of the past evolved into what we have and see today. Your further input may help with the production of similar slideshows in the future.
As always great video Luke, I'm late viewing this one, have been in the Alfred for the wife's operation, Phill
Thanks again. Of course Your wife is more important than my videos. I hope the operation went well. The videos will be there for a long time to come.
Great work Luke liked port Albert film Licola is wonderful sad that the old homesteads are gone
Thank you for taking the time to watch. Unfortunately we can’t stop progress but it’s what makes history interesting.
Fantastic videos Luke, just about watched all of them now.

Wow great video. I enjoyed watching it
Thank you for watching and for your feedback.
Hi Luke, great video of the area. I think your letterbox on one of the shots with the tower is one of the weather station boxes?
Haha, yes you are no doubt correct. When I passed it many years ago, there was a sign on it that said 'Mail'; probably put there as a joke. Thank you for watching.
Enjoy yr utube docs immensely Luke, gr8 work! The letterbox on the Pinnacles (about 15.40) is the weather observation point with thermometers etc. All Forests Commission (etcetc) had same at their yards/work area.
Haha, yes, you are no doubt correct. When I passed it many years ago, there was a sign stating 'Mail' probably put there as a joke. From then on I always referred to it as a letter box knowing full well it was probably used for something else. I liked the thought of the lookout having a mail delivery.

Beautiful tribute to an important figure in Yarram and Port Albert history showcasing Port's stunning scenery. Good music too.
Thank you for the feedback. The doctor certainly did some impressive things.
I have so many memories of The Port and the Old Port having spent my childhood 1950’s holidays there in the Ship Inn. I remember my father once saying, in a pensive move, that one of his childhood memories in the 1920’s was seeing the three Rutter girls walking along the jetty with their white dresses flapping in the sea breeze.
Good Dad memory, never heard him say that but can picture it.
I would love to go back to 1920s (or earlier) Port Albert...just for a glimpse. The white dresses sounds like a Sunday.
Used to always stay down at cape woolamai. Great vid
Thank you. Great spot.

Thanks again Geoff. It was nice meeting you both at Bullumwaal.
Thank you for making this wonderful presentation. It was very informative and very well created:)
Thank you for your feedback. Its important to know what viewers think. Much appreciated.
I went here for camping
Toorongo? Loch Valley?, or the old township camping area which is now closed?
That was wonderful, thanks! My parents, Doug & Jean Harvey had the Rhyll store during the 1970s. Charlie Richardson, then in his 80s, used to cycle up every day, rain hail or shine. I remember him telling me how as a kid, he cycled out to Kitty Miller Bay when he heard the Speke had been wrecked.
Thanks for your feedback and the interesting anecdote.

The car bumps and jumps down the rutted gravel main street of Phillip Island.
