Yak Hobby Rudder Extension - Vibe Shearwater 125 Kayak
In this video I go over a few items that I purchased for my Vibe Shearwater 125 kayak from Yak Hobby. The Yak Hobby Shallows Rudder Extension, the Yak Hobby 7.5" Rudder Extension Handle, and the Yak Hobby Roto Grip Roto Riser extensions for my paddle holder. As of the publishing of this video, I have spent six to seven full days of kayak bass fishing using these products.

Kayak Bass Tournament - Vernon Lake - Leesville Louisiana
zhlédnutí 238Před 3 měsíci
I fished a kayak bass fishing tournament on Vernon Lake in Leesville Louisiana in late March. This was my first time fishing Vernon Lake. I arrived the day before the tournament to do some scouting which didn't go all that well, managed to only catch a couple bass. Tournament day went a little better than I expected . #kayakbassfishing #kayakfishing #louisianafishing
Kayak Bass Fishing - Bayou Petite Caillou - Houma, Louisiana

I made a March kayak bass fishing trip on Bayou Petite Caillou (Bayou Little Caillou) in Houma Louisiana. I did a combat roadside launch with the Vibe Shearwater 125 off Highway 24 near the airbase. The water was low, muddy, and going out pretty hard. The fishing was a little slow but I managed to catch a few nice bass. Also managed to catch a sunburn. #kayakbassfishing #kayakfishing #bassfishing

Made a kayak bass fishing trip back to Bayou Terrebonne in Bourg Louisiana on March 10th. Good news, they still have some bass in there. The last time I bass fished Bayou Terrebonne I didn't put one in the kayak. The bayou definitely fishes a little different since Hurricane Ida hit about two and a halve years ago. I don't think it has recovered completely. There is no hydrilla and very little ...
Fishing the Spawn - Raceland Louisiana

Made another kayak bass fishing trip to Butch Hill in Raceland Louisiana on March 3rd. Went looking for one big bite. It was pretty windy and they had a lot of boat traffic and fishing pressure. I was hoping that there would be some fish up shallow spawning. Didn't find any spawning bass but managed to catch a few. Not sure if they spawned yet or if they were getting ready to. #kayakbassfishing...
Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament - False River - Shallow Water Bite

This is a recap of the kayak bass fishing tournament I fished on False River in New Roads, Louisiana. Had a pretty good day of fishing. Caught quite a few bass, all in less than two feet of water. Was able to slowly upgrade throughout the day. Seemed like the bass were still in the pre-spawn stage. If you enjoy the video, please like, share, and subscribe. I fished out of a Vibe Shearwater 125 ...

    I've been waiting for someone to make a video about climbing with a platform. Nice video! Ot may seem like alot of work to some, but one particular method may be super easy for one, but extremely hard for another. We are individuals and react/use energy in different ways when climbing. I'll be ditching my "one stick". Nice video, My Brother!

      I love hunting out of the saddle, but I hated having to carry and set up the sticks. I have some back issues, carrying and climbing with just the platform is easier on my back than having to carry and set up the sticks. I still use sticks when I know I'm going to be hunting the same spot for multiple hunts.

    So you are actually one sticking. Takes 3 transitions to get 11 ft, so for twenty at least 2 -3 more. That’s a lot of work and rustling around, of courseany climbing method does, better than carrying and clacking with a climbing stand. And you can get around limbs, as long as you like it, but don’t slip , as you are not tied in at all times.

    • @HUNT-FISH-REPEAT
      @HUNT-FISH-REPEAT Před 5 měsíci

      For me it is all about not having all the extra stuff to carry. I stay tied in but could slip and fall about 3 feet with the method I'm using. I also carry a linesmen's belt with me too, incase I have to go around branches. It I drop the platform, I can get down the tree with the tether and linesman belt also.

  • @kennethrogers1129
    @kennethrogers1129 Před 5 měsíci

    That’s a lot of work, when you could just hitch climb, use a pole to set a SRT rope up at 25 ft with a retrievable hitch, then SRT , set your platform one time, using a foot loop and ascender hitch requires little effort and you are tied in absolutely safe at all times

    • @HUNT-FISH-REPEAT
      @HUNT-FISH-REPEAT Před 4 měsíci

      I tried the hitch climbing using the paracord loop, it was a little harder on my back than climbing with just the platform.

      I’ve been doing hitch climbing with a pole, very versatile. 5-20 ft pole, SRT ascent with footloop and bridge on ascender hitches, rappel on the bridge hitch and Munter hitch. One transition and set platform one time at 20-25 feet or whatever needed. Can use the pole for walking stick, snake stick, pruning pole, as well as setting or removing rope.
