Too much red brick and tarmac, resin bonded gravel looks better for pavements much better design than most new estates although the colours of the houses are a bit bland white or brick

Fascinating stuff. Used to walk through there practically every day on my home from school to Crapstone, having got off at The Rock Shelter bus stop from the 83/ 84 bus from Plymouth. That was half a century or more ago. Still looks the same. Even in the 1970’s the area had become somewhat notorious for, shall we say, courting couples in cars.

After more than 42 years, finally I get to see Brigadier General Moore in person albeit thru an also 42 year old documentary. He was responsible in liberating our town of Limbang in British colony of Sarawak during November or December of 1962. Thank you General Sir for liberating Limbang AND the Falklands 20 years later.

I remember a book from the 70’s called Plymouth, the sea angler’s Eldorado. Well those days are gone. Inaccessibility, exorbitant parking charges, so called wild swimmers and crap weather have made Plymouth one of the most frustrating places to be if you like your fishing. If you look at Plymouth on Google Earth you’d be forgiven for thinking that it’s a fishing paradise but the reality is that it’s crap and probably going to get worse.

Its a seaside town ,what else would you expect ppl to be doing. Anglers are normally the 1st to see things that should not be there , ok not all are responsible but the majority are.

Since Drakes island is no longer being developed by Morgan, goes that mean Eggbluckland Keep is also not being redeveloped. Nothing has happened there in a while and i noticed some kids on the roof just earlier today which stopped me from checking it out myself. I Love all the Palmerston Forts on the North Eastern Defence and this video intrigues me! Its a shame they have been left to rot and vandalised :(
