Hey! I love Christmas and horror! Wanna be friends?
You said and explained it perfectly 🤍
Thank you! 😊
My TV kept freezing on that image of a tractor midway through the video and I had to restart it twice. I think my TV is now haunted by the tractor.
I think you better get an exorcist!
As a woman who Loves Horror movies, art and video games. i get it.. I’ve always felt misunderstood my entire life
All those things are awesome!😁
@@chriswingerTV they truly are 😇
Now I want beef stroganoff and to watch a cozy haunted house film
You're making me hungry! I'm gonna make a sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, basil and some olive oil now.
@@chriswingerTV delicious! Enjoy ☺️
I’m a horror nerd and lettered in volleyball and basketball all four years, and went to district in track. But I was always a book nerd too-sci-fi, fantasy, and horror long before I was old enough or allowed to watch horror movies. And Dostoevsky is amazing, especially The Brothers Karamazov
More and more people are making me rethink not reading Dostoevsky!
In many ways I find horror movies to be extremely grounding. Spending 1 to 2 hours in a state of controlled hyper-vigilance and a sort of fictional survival-mode helps me acknowledge that, for the most part, the negative circumstances of my life are nowhere near as dire as they seem. Yes, the rather unstable boss may yell at me for no reason or perhaps even fire me for silly reasons, but I doubt I would ever have to run for my life while being chased by a chainsaw-wielding killer. Horror helps give us a perspective that, at least for a large number of us, what we perceive to be threats in our lives are alot less threatening and harmful than we make them out to be.
Yeah, we need darkness in our life sometimes to put things in perspective.
Amicus is my happy place too :D love your cosy horro rvibe.
Thank you! There's something about good old British horror.
Dude, I really Need to know the game of the Movies you just showed
Fall of the house of usher, Valerie and her week of wonders, Trick 'r treat, Halloween, Kwaidan and I think that's all of them! 😁
Oh, and Inferno!
And phenomenon! 😆
The Gate! I think that's all now! 🤣
Coolest guy in the world. You should be a dad, One day@@chriswingerTV
top ten most comforting youtube channels now, thank u for just geeking out on the internet about spectres and critters, sometimes that's all we need <3 <3 <33333
Thank you for tuning in! Sometimes we need something comforting☺️
When I was very young, I often visited my great-grandmother in the mountains. For some reason, there was a stack of large, black tires within the trees on the side of her house & my childhood imagination always saw it as a giant coiled serpent.
The world was a scary place back then!
I relate to you so much
Happy to hear that 😁
i just found your videos and they are comfy, relaxing and profound. T: Finn who also loves pinetrees and nordic folklore
Thank you very much 😊
I'm so happy I found your channel ❤
Me too! I love marzipan!
Get to the point brah. You lost me at head and shoulders
That's ok ☺️
I never liked movies with people killing people, because that can happen to anybody. But when it comes to supernatural films, I know it can't happen. I love Freddy Kruger, and another one that I like is It. Can't really deside if I like the older version or the new one better. The older gives the nostalgia feeling, and Tim Curry is the best at pennywise. The new has better jump scares.
I thought the new part one was pretty good, but the old one is way more unsettling somehow.
@chriswingerTV I kinda wanna watch IT now....yay, now I know what to watch tomorrow night
Maybe I'll give it a rewatch too!
I love your channel. It has a mixed energy of like a Stephen king novel and it's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown. Subscribed
That's a great compliment! Thank you 😊
Growing up near Detroit, my classmates came in two varieties: Red Wings and Ford. I was the kid who couldn't name a hockey player but had seen nearly every Vincent Price movie and dreamt of being a werewolf when he grew up. Thanks for your funny and thoughtful video.
Stay awesome, wolfman!😎
I've always loved the loners or outcasts. I enjoy the absolute thrill of watching a horror movie . It's comforting too because you forget about your own problems since these people on screen have REAL problems 😊. It's also usually very captivating and you can immerse yourself in it.
We live very safe lives these days (me at least) so I think it's good to look at stuff like that. We need to feel fear and danger sometimes.
I’m not Scandinavian but I too was the weirdest kid in school. I too don’t really know much useful life skills, and i too find horror to be like home to me. I felt people had received a manual of things to know about life and socializing that never arrived to my mail box; and i was missing out the important cues to exist as a human being. Turns out i was just an AFAB autistic person and it all made much sense. Now i appreciate horror even more because i know what drives me towards it; the feeling of belonging and fantastical creatures that just make a lot of sense to me. And i pity the fact that where i live in brazil there aren’t many pine trees. because i love pine trees.
It's great that you have horror in your life! I bet you've got plenty of other nice trees over there 😊
what a treasure your channel is! I’m really glad I discovered your videos on my recommendations
Thank you so much! 😊
We all need a tree of our own outside our bedroom window. I have an apple tree, a fig tree, and a pine tree, which reflect on my eyes all the gradations of light at different hours of the day (and reflect on my soul infinitesimal fragments of infinite splendor).
Sounds like a pretty nice yard!
@@chriswingerTV yes, I'm lucky (and I live in a big city). Anyway, great video but... I have to tell you that reality Is much more misterious and full of meaning than all ours fancy imaginations (wich are simbolic representations of the hidden meanings that soul glimpses in the appearances).
Probably true! But I'll still spend most of my days in my imaginary world I think. 😁 I like it.
Anyone tell you you look like MacGyver. Your videos are great, can't wait to see more!
Yes, I actually got that once before! But these days it's mostly Joe Pera or Jeffrey Dahmer. Perhaps I should get contact lenses.
And thank you! 😁
The world needs more of what’s in your head
What’s in our heads *
Let's let it out!
share the exact same feeling here......
Good to hear 😌
Literally me in high school, loved this video!!❤
Thank you, fellow weirdo! 😉
Love this! You said it all perfectly. And what are the odds of discovering another person out there who not only thinks horror is comforting but who also loves pine trees. I’m now in a different state where they don’t grow here like where I used to live and I have such a deep attachment. Pine forests have a beauty and energy that’s breathtaking. Thank you for your content. I smiled the whole time. Going through some stuff and listening to horror content helps always.
Thank you! Glad I could bring you some good pine related content!😁
Horror is a way for us as humans to explore our fears in a way that is contained and safe and allows us confront those fears. Horror is catharsis.
Very true!
That Santa mask owes you emotional damage $$$ 🎅🏻
I agree! I should contact the manufacturer.
Anybody else here think he's cute?
You're making me shy I don't know what to say stop🦆
I'm shy when it comes to cute guys. There was no good flirting skills for me, so I either get quiet or say something ridiculous.
Saying something ridiculous might work!😊
I love people who love trees ❤
As a huge horror fan, I find Dostoievsky very horrific even if he is not branded as such.
I probably have the wrong idea about him 😆
My best friend calls it the discomfort zone and I really love that.
That's a great name!
I love the way you articulate your words and it’s nice to not feel alone with feeling like this, I’m a writer and horror doesn’t scare me, I see beauty in it. Like a light at the end of a dark tunnel.
Thank you! There really is a lot of beauty in horror.
HAHAHA OMG this was such a cute video! And SO ADHD-coded haha!
Thank you! 🤣😊
This randomly came across my feed and I connected to the title immediately, as I feel the same way. Your video is so fun and your personality endearing. So happy my algorithm devised to suggest your video to me!! Immediately followed.
Big thanks! Cool that it reaches people who feel the same.
As a kid I was complete opposite of the now me...I was nerdy shy introverted and had a vivid imagination. I was scared of everything and anything. Horror loving for me started as a dare actually that too against my mom when she called me a wimp for not being able to sit through an average horror flick. 12 years later I have finished watching almost all of the horror franchises and now mom doesn't do movie nights with me anymore😂 coz the amount of horror media I consume doesn't sit well with her 😂 I cant make her understand how at home I feel with horror movies and series. Also growing up it was empowering to feel I won the horror bet with my mom..felt like I have toughened up or something 😅
Wow, at least your mom watches horror!😆 That's so cool that you would end up liking it that much.
were getting married
This is all happening so fast!😲
@@chriswingerTV lol I cant wait to meet the family :)
You are a unique soul🤗Keep doing what you do for us outsiders from other parts on this planet. And yes,Pine trees are wonderful🤩
Thank you! I'll keep it up!😁
@@chriswingerTV yaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy🤗
Your such a sweet heart ❤️ 😊
Aaw thank you!😊
You just sound so passionate. Especially when you share a bit about yourself with us. Pine trees 🌲 ❤
I rarely get to talk about pine trees I guess 😅
This was hilarious and scary relatable. You seem so cool.
Thank you! I bet you're pretty cool too!
FOR PIZZA! The 2026 movie is supposed to epic. The first movie is the best!
2026 will be the last Ronin right? Let's hope it's good!
If it’s not, I’m going to cry bc Michelangelo is my favorite and he’s the last. And it’s the end of an era. I just never thought this day would come or that they’d let it come? I couldn’t even make it to the end of the game! 😅
The game? I know they're making one but which one do you mean?😊
@@chriswingerTV they’re making a new one? oh! The incredibly impossible to beat Nintendo 1989 8 bit why did I even start this game, classic. They should have made it gold like Legend of Zelda it was so impossible, and to this day, it’s still frustrating the internet! 😂
Oh that one! I'm not even gonna try to beat that one. I think they are making a game based on the last ronin.
this video was oddly comforting ig like horror lol
Thank you! 🙏😊
Im absolutely adoring your channel and rhe way you write and speak and see thw world 🖤 i love having these on last thing before i sleep. Wirh that in mind though, i do find rhe music a little distracting sometimes! I think something more ambient would suit your channrl better, if that makes sense. Keep up the great work either way though! 🖤🖤
Thank you! That's so awesome that you watch them right before bed! Yeah, I like jazz but I guess something a bit more subtle might work even better.
It the first time i see one of your videos. Like all, i expected a video essay, but i found somenthing more deep and beautiful.
Thank you! I try to put more of my own personality in my videos and people seem to appreciate it ☺️
I actually think you might enjoy Dostoyevski. Crime and Punishment is surprisingly accessible, and definitely horror adjacent.
It's probably not as I imagine it! Should give it a try.
I love trees too id like to give that big ole pine a hug
Just putting your hand on the bark felt good somehow.
Oh my goodnes! I didn't want your video to end 😢 I loved it so much ❤. It felt like I found a place where I belong too :3❤ thanks goes to you my boy!
Wow, thank you! I'm so happy to hear that 😁 I'll make more videos where I just talk about horror and how weird I am so don't worry!😉
We have WAY too much in common. Kindred spirits? Maybe, but I'm not too smart either. 👻
Let's be not so smart together!😁
When I was a child, about 6 or 7, living on a cow farm in Nobleboro, Maine, I slept on the floor right beside my parents' bed. I remember being awake, or at least somewhere between conscious and unconsciousness, or perhaps completely conscious, and turning over and seeing a pattern ladened on the side of the bed on the falling covers. It was a large scorpion circled by the symmetrical dancing figures of smaller scorpions. In my child's eye it was startling but not necessarily alarming. The dance was celebratory but also private, like I wasn't supposed to see it. I think about that a lot in my adult life, in addition to other things one may deem as hallucinations. Whether dream or not, and it's easier to define them as 'dream' to ensure your sanity to strangers, it was overall very real, and still embedded itself in my memories. Have been loving your videos. Thanks so much.
