Call me old fashioned, but I prefer a ruleset that somehow tries to emulate what a fantasy themed medieval battle might look and play out like.

It boggles my mind that anyone would try and play this game competitively.

Dr.Luke, thank you so much. Always had a big nostalgia for wh fantasy since seeing it as a child, but I must say your videos are what gave me the push to get me back into it, your chaos army is beautiful, and I love your banners! One day I will post my own army showcase, and I want you to know you inspired it.

Looked like a great day, beautiful armies with some vintage gems scattered throughout, what a treat. That location .. wow, and just the upstairs deck, nice find.

Wonderful to see so many enjoying Warhammer and making the effort to transport all their collections down to a very nice store with gorgeous tables etc. Highlights are the first tabel CD player with a Bolt Thrower T-shirt. Love it!. The young lad with his dad's 5th ed Chaos Army. Love it!. Old mate at D6 Wounds with the classic Kev Orc and Goblin army. Gork and I love it! Sad to see my beloved Dwarfs getting a battering and that Skaven have been nurffed. Skaven romple stomped myself and my mates Savage Orc army in Warhammer Renaissance over the weekend and it was glorious to see!. Great coverage Dr. and thank you :)

The battle standards are great. If you know who is carrying them you don't even need to be able to see the models to know what is coming for you.

I could be way off but if this is a 2k game how did the goblin player have a giant 200pt + spider 310pt? Appreciate the report thia format is very wasy to digest and i Appreciate it takes significantly longer to edit and produce than the longer form stuff

Those chaos warrior punks look pretty but can they fight? It seems they can, but not as well as they manoeuvre around the table in a crazy line dance and frenzy of squig bashing. I must admit this full competitive Old World gaming doesn't look the same as WHFB of old and is almost as confusing as that AoS no frontage game where everyone runs in every direction at once. Does the good Dr Blaxhill have any idea how these rules anomalies and general weirdness of ToW will be corrected? Will it just stay as it is or if GW can't or won't look at the rules will it take the community of players to come up with an agreed set of changes?

That was entertaining, always a pleasure to stare at images of well painted eyecandy and who in their right mind doesn't love fun narration, bonus. Not sure about the monster army, I think they devoured the goblins on the way to the battle .. also not sure about those bloody long lines but thats the rules and the loopholes and I know you enjoy pushing mechanics to see which wheel falls off the wagon train. Bonkers wheel and amusing, I bet those warriors at the far end were knackered and cursing those at the other end placing dainty fairy steps while the gang caught up. Good luck with the tournament.

20:35 I presume at this stage you were in the flank of the Spider Riders and overran into the Squig Hoppers, correct? It's hard to tell from the pictures and your description but that's the only way I can imagine you ended up closing the door so much, because if you had charged the Hoppers alone, you wouldn't align to them, as they are Skirmishers. It's an odd positioning situation and i'd have needed to see it from a different angle in order to confirm it. I don't know why he didn't just charge it with all three spiders. They'd have gone through that unit in one turn (if he hadn't run off the board to three Terror tests first) but I guess hindsight is different. Interesting (& disappointing) to see how the game can be abused.

Disgusting O&G army Doc lol. But if it works in a tourney situation then I guess it's valid. I'm glad that you have avoided the temptation of the Chaos Lord on Dragon, but maybe we should see this scary fellow in a future batrep where you can demonstrate it's lethality. Great to see the Chaos Knights put up a good fight and I think the Chaos warrior line was fair considering the opposition. Your Lord doing a runner was the nails in your coffin though. I hope your working on your next old world content. Love your channel.

I'm slightly confused over the General's flee discussion. I haven't played so much yet, but I'm pretty confident the rules state that you choose your charge response after all charges have been declared. So you wouldn't have to choose wether to flee or stand, swiftstride, not swiftstride, until all the charges have been declared, thus maybe, making the decision easier over the other spiders' choices. Also, you only get to choose once, and you won't flee again right? Since you can only ever flee once / turn?

Ah, nice video. Still easily the best battle reports on youtube. Concise, no "hm"s and "um"s. Love it! Still don't know what I think of Old World. Will definitively need some houserules, I think. As did 8th. Something like "Max 25% points spent on a single model, a character ridding something doesn't add their wounds (you take the higher one) and infantery can max attacke from two more models per side than the opponent and maybe attacking from two ranks/casualties aren't discounted".
