Hebden Bridge Pumpkin Trail 2023 - Climate and Habitat

For this years Pumpkin Trail we created 12 pumpkin scene's that looked into climate change and how it affects different habitats. The scenes also looked at the positive things that we could do to help combat this. Most of the scenes included interactive activites to encourage learning and understanding through play. #pumpkincarving #pumpkinart #climatechange #climateaction #learningthroughplay

We made this 60m piece of land art to celebrate Refugee Week 2023, the theme of which this year is compassion. The artwork depicts Sobeda, a refugee from Bangladesh and Lucy, a local befriender who have built a friendship over the last year. 'Coal & Ice' Ice Sculpture Trail at Woodhorn Coal Mining Museum

At the beginning of 2023 we made this exciting climate change themed ice sculpture trail at the Woodhorn Coal Mining Museum featuring ice carvings of endangered animals, a live carve of a life size polar bear, an ice bridge containing climate pledges written by local children and a paper sculpting workshop where families could make their own polar bear masks.

Thanks for the tips. My son and I like to get out and do Sand sculpting. We used to work together building swimming pools. I had to retire due to illness. This is our bonding time 👍

In my city the situation is similar: we are doing a project for the improvement of the sea embankment and there are nests of swallows in the shore. And we are going to save a place of nesting after ending of construction. We are interested in your experience. Thanks for attention.
