That's what I think of my mom right there to i definitely agree with you and your comment too
It happened just as Jill was saying in this video.
I remember when Jill and Mr. Chancellor fell in love with each other. But to Mrs. Chancellor if she couldn't have him, nobody else was going to, certainly not Jill. And so Mrs. C talked him into getting into the car with her, they wrecked, and he died in the hospital. I think he married Jill in the hospital, however the marriage was no legal as Mrs. C claimed she was unfit at the time she signed the divorce paper's. I'm to tired to explain it better.
I remember the ORIGINAL Jill Abbot from the early eighties her name was BRENDA DICKSON.BOY ,was she HOT❤❤❤!!
Again the original Snapper Foster William Grey Espy was🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I agree!!!
I dedicate this program to my mama Mrs.Vers.Mse.Robinson my 😇RIP❤️Mack
Back in the day Catherine Chancellor was such a drama queen with her emotions all over the place... I don't remember a day that she was sober...I hated Jil back then who was self absorbed.. it's not Catherine's fault she got pregnant by her husband and had to deliver a bastard child... Stewart Brooke's Dodge a bullet getting rid of Jil whom i remember falling down those stairs....
❤❤❤
Good one.Katherine rocks
12-29-23 BRENDA DICKSON WILL ALWAYS BE THE SUPERB JILL FOSTER❤. WITH THE REPLACEMENT JILL THERE IS THIS NEGATIVE AURA ABOUT HER THAT TRANSCENDS INTO WHAT SHE MUST BE LIKE OFF CAMERA. ITS AS IF SHE HAD SOME REAL LIFE ISSUES. TO THIS DAY IN 2023, THE ORIGINAL JILL-BRENDA DICKSON-IS THE VICTIM OF UNFAIRNESS AGAINST HER AND THE REMAINING BELL SIBLINGS NEED TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH BRENDA DICKSON STARTING WITH HER BEING BROUGHT BACK TO THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. ❤
Not General City , drama city
Katherine flashed back to just before the car crash in the mid-late 2000’s. She (in that present day) referred to it as a horrible car accident, but that it was all her fault. I haven’t seen where Kay admits to anything more, but I’ve read that she did admit to purposefully crashing the car to Jill once Phillip was born.
Make up didn't help these 2 here not Glamorous at All 😆
This was building up to the "Who Shot Jill?" series of episodes, And after Jill was shot,a drunk Katherine was suspect number one !
The crash was never filmed It goes from Kay speeding up whilst driving Phillip,to another character scene in the show, then at the end of the episode, the return is a cop on a motor cycle radioing in that a car had driven off the cliff
So did she kill him on purpose or was it just an accident/her drunken driving
On purpose
So did she kill him on purpose or was it just an accident/her drunken driving
Suzanne always traveled with tarantulas!😂
You can hear the CBS top of the hour bell at the beginning…
The friction between Jill and Kay was great. Neither was completely a villian; neither the hero. From one angle, Kay was sympathetic because she lost her husband to an affair with her 'friend" Jill. On the other hand, Jill was the one who made Phillip happy, loved him, and lost him forever due solely to Kay's selfishness. Through decades of their scheming and backstabbing, sometimes I rooted for Jill and sometimes for Kay. Why Y&R doesn't spend time investing in rivalries like this is beyond me. This stuff produced many, many decent plots for decades for Y&R.
So did she kill him on purpose or was it just an accident/her drunken driving
@@yavvel He was talking about the state of their former marriage when she stepped on the gas pedal and took them over the side of the cliff. So yeah. It was on purpose. She denied it for a long time but when Phillip was born, she finally admitted it. And then she tried to take the baby from Jill.
@@yavvel I think that has been the unresolved question for nearly 50 years? I would guess that, originally, we were suppose to believe that the distraught Kay wanted to kill herself and to take Phillip to the grave with her. Once it became clear to the writers that Kay was popular with the viewers, the "suicide element" was watered-down into just being a tragic drunk driving accident. It is hard to portray someone as a "heroine" (ensuring longevity on the show) when she has intentionally killed her husband. The show has done similar things with other characters ---- Michael Baldwin and Phyllis Summers, both brought onto the show as villains. Michael sexually harassed Cricket and attempted to kill her when she complained and destroyed his career. Phyllis tried to manipulate her way into being Danny's wife, including threatening and attempting to kill folks (especially Cricket) who stood in her way. The show has significantly downplayed the bad history of both characters when it was clear they were popular with viewers.
@@eugenesmith5173yep. Same can be said for Kevin Fisher and to a lesser degree Lauren Fenmore. Part of the redemption was karma, even if indirect. Phyllis was framed by Diane in 2002 and had a psychotic event in jail. As for Lauren, let’s just remember Sheila. Lauren eventually apologized to Traci for all the torment she inflicted.
I watched this when I was 10 years old with my Mom. The plot was so awesome! Every time I hear the opening song I think of my Mom and I miss her so much! 😢❤
I used to watch it with my late mum also, I even named her the duchess. RIP mum 🥲❤
I love Kay's long long nails and all her rings and how she talked with her hands!!!!
Knowing this show,Kays Rubies were probably Real
Loves those kays knock out Jill rings
@@tarakimble8409 one time she told off Esther and said "IM TALKING ABOUT NEEE-NAH!!" and the nails and rings were in Esther's face LMAO. It was during the height of the Phillip/Cricket/Nina triangle which was when I started watching and instantly loved Kay! (And hated Esther and still do!)
I think the is 76 NOT 75 Thanks for the upload !!
Depending in which country you're in In the USA it was 1975
There’s no way to watch this on video?
I remember he choked on a chicken bone and Jill cut his throat with a razor blade.
Say what you want about Jill, BUT she was right about Kay in this instance!
from 1985 to 1989, the best years. Original Jack and Jill, Terry Lester and Brenda Dickson, Loved it.
Jill actually was right. Katherine DID kill him.
Katherine &Jill is the greatest rivalry in Soap History.
Does anyone know when this aired?
1976
My oldest sat in her baby swing sucking her bottle as I watched Jill distoryy her family & the Brooks family one by one
Vous avez pas des anciennes mais en français
Edit to add: Okay, that ending was sweet between Liz and Jill. Generally the woman tended to favor her sons.
I remember the Rose storyline, but not this one. Wow. Hoff hasn't really changed all that much. I always found the character of Liz so sanctimonious. Like it would kill her to say anything positive about Jill at all.
How can you watch this episode of Brenda Dickson and not think she was a wonderful, realistic actress ???? I don't possibly know of how anyone could give a more natural or realistic performance. Jeanne and Brenda were wonderful actresses and quite irreplaceable. 💜💜❤️❤️🧡🧡😉😉😀😀
Was this in 1979
Yes and it only was a half n hour then
"Paid companion." Too funny!
One of the greatest story arcs ever... Katherine Chancellor vs. Jill Foster
Ehud this looks creepy how the film is jumping lol
Jill left her four year old shon Phillip Foshter in the Brooksh howsh!
Brenda is the best jill ever
LMAO. What kind of crying is that
What was the reason Kat turned to the bottle .was it because phillip left her
She was an alcoholic even before Phillip died. It was implied that Katherine became an alcoholic because she was neglected by Phillip, and bored all day.
And Katherine slept with younger ranch hands as well.
Back when the show was worth watching
You must have been hella paid back then. VCRs cost $2,000 in 1979.
What happened to those fabulous early videos of Katherine and Jill.
I wish they would release all the early years (30 minute epsiodes) on a streaming service perhaps? I didn't start watching until the mid 80's I would love to see the show from the beginning
Why on Earth would Kay admit this to Jill? Was this just to hurt her again? Or was this when she tried to buy baby Phillip?
"I want you out of my life!" Proceeds to marry her mother...
How did Jill Foster and Phillip have a relationship when Phillip was married to Katherine?
😁😁😁....it's kind of a long story. They had an affair behind Katherine's back. Philip asked Kathrine for a divorce, flew to the Dominican Republic to get that divorce from Katherine, when he got back Katherine picked him up from the airport and drove their car off a cliff. Philip was barely alive and put on his deathbed in the hospital, but he was conscious enough to marry Jill. However, shortly after that deathbed wedding Katherine had that marriage annulled therefore robbing Jill's baby of his father's name and inheritance.
How did Katherine have the marriage to Jill annulled?
