Toyota Tacoma 2gr-fks sound level after OTT Tune.
A quick observation of the sound levels on my Toyota Tacomas 2grfks after receiving the Ott tune. I'm not exactly sure why, but the engine is noticeably quieter with the OTT tune. is likely to do with the demand of which injectors to use and at what time. and obviously, it's possible the other parameters, such as the cam profiles ignition timing and overall fuel mapping. nevertheless, it quieted down the normal ticking/nocking noises that the 2gr-fks, which is completely normal.

Whats top tip on hot start to avoid flooding n plug out? (Dolmar)
Echo has the best quality in the world.
Your a lucky man.❤ I can't afford that. I got CS 590 and they last forever if you build them right and run them right.
When saws are making dust and not chips, sharpen the chain.
Ive seen a huge difference in chains even using the same saw. I see that Husky even has an aftermarket bar. So hard to make a fair comparison even if the saws had the same HP. You'd have to use new air filters, new spark plugs, autotune or manually tune each saw to optimal conditions, use the same amount of downward pressure on both saws, use wood that was exactly the same with no knots, make about 10 cuts each and use an average, on and on...
Next up... 500i vs 592xp!!!!!!! 😂
Would you pick the 395xp over these two?
Sthil a piece of junk
Long story short, over the years I've accumulated more 2t oils than I can possibly use up in the next 5 years. For 2t's (saws, trimmers, blowers and generators) I've pretty much narrowed it down to hp2, saber, red armor and k2 in no particular order at 32-40:1. My question is regarding 4-mix. I've been sticking with motomix and/or hp ultra at 40-45:1 yes, I add additional hp ultra to the motomix. Do you see hp2, saber, red armor or k2 at 32-40:1 as a potential problem in 4-mix engines? Or suggest I stay with a separate hp ultra mix for them?
I have a poulan 4000 it still run as it should mean saw . I was told the cut 10 cc above there cc level !!
very important
Compare this stihl with husqvarna 579. Will it be fair enough?
I like both stihl and husky, but that 500i for so many cc plus the saw is so lite, only reason I would lean towards husky is that I can get heated handles and I do like the gap heated handles, bu both are very good saws
Works great. You can screw the wood screw in by hand, and it will give enough bite to pull the plugs. My hobby knife for the tabs, and the thing looks new. Plus, now I have to learn to tune this thing.
7310 guy here.
I have a ms261,bought it a year ago. I like your idea and might try it. What did you use to cut slots in muffler? Also does the ms261 have a spark arrestor? If so is it easily removed?
They all have spark arrestors. It's located in the factory exhaust outlet. It's held in by one little screw. I used a small cutting disc on my rotary tool to cut the slots. I then carefully used a screwdriver and needle nose pliers to bend them outward.
@@Andyshine77 ok gotcha,I just found my spark arester and took it out lol. Don’t know if it will improve my engine performance any but I didn’t want it in there.
Teniendo en cuenta la cilindrada y la potencia me quedo con la husqvarna gracias por compartir
The 572 ported is a greay saw if you can afford it. Most guys port them.
Husky all day and ported they are mental.
There are way too many problems with these saws! They make great power but are not durable or reliable. The issue I'm seeing is leaking intake boots, cracked cases, and bad carbs. The 661 had numerous issues early on, but they've been rectified.
@@Andyshine77 are they as bad as the 550 and 562?
@johnwalt3504 No, not that bad, much better than those.
What size tsumura bar is that?
28" 92DL
If the 572 had a muffler mod it would probably beat the pants off that 500i. They are both bad ass saws but price and size .... Well, you know
Where do you get these products?
Amazon. amzn.to/46vyOjL amzn.to/3SjwSVr
@@Andyshine77 thank you
Do you just rotate the flywheel back and forth to make sure it’s at tdc? Just keep wiggling until the valves don’t move?
Yes, as long as it's really close to TDC on the compression stroke, you're fine. The valves will be closed. There's no need to use an indicator or anything like that. But it has to be on the compression stroke so both valves are closed.
Tell me the best oil for low ambient temperatures, for MS 661.
One of the thinner oils with more solvents. Yamalube R2, RedArmor. That said, most oils will be fine in cold temperatures, stay away from the straight esters, they get more viscous in the cold due to the lower solvent content. Bel-Ray H1R, Klotz R50 and similar oils.
@@Andyshine77 How about Saber or Honda hp2? I can buy them.
@@Andyshine77 For some reason I think that HP2 oil will be too thick in the cold.
@III-eq7nl I think they would both work fine in the cold. The only real issue you would have with the more concentrated oils would be at startup. I used to run Klotz R50, and in the cold, they surely were stiff to pull over, Amsoil Dominator was similar. Once running their perfectly fine. So I really wouldn't overthink it too much.
@@Andyshine77 Thank you! for your answer. I will choose Hp2
the 572 is supposed to wake up after some decent use
That's Brad Snellings method. He originated it about 13 years ago!
It sure is. He's right up the road from me.
I have an early one that Brad did. It's my go to saw even though I also have a 241C & a 462C.
@@shaller1731 The 261 can be made into a wicked 50cc saw, and Brad made some strong ones.
Both are great saws, go with the better dealer near you.
If polybutane based oil + solvent has high film strength at 100 C, does it have low film strength at low temperature = cold start?
Where can I find a Poland 5200 counter vibe chainsaw? Can I find one on eBay?
Stihl junk under lisc to china.
What is your reason for not recommending Yamalube any more? I use 2R is my saws quite a bit, so always keen to hear other peoples experiences.
I see more buildup around the rings and even a little on the piston skirt. I also would like to have seen more residual oil on the bottom end. Don't det me wrong it's a good product, but I've seen better.
Just got the OTT tune on my '21 Tacoma and noticed the same thing. Better response, smoother running, and much less engine noise. Good upgrade!

I’m looking at the STIHL 2024 POWER TOOLS & ACCESSORIES booklet I received from my local dealership. On page 51 center right on that page it clearly states “STIHL ROLLOMATIC ES LIGHT” “…up to30% lighter than the STIHL ROLLOMATIC E…”. If that is not true, then it is a lie. It does not say, only on long bars, or only if you replace your shorter bar with a longer bar, or only if weighing on the moon, it says 30% lighter. A 20” bar is not a short bar, but it definitely is not a long bar, but additionally, 30% is 30% no matter what the volume.
"UP TO 30% LIGHTER," which implies not all of them are that much lighter. Reading comprehension.
An implied lie is still a lie.
It is in no way a lie. I'm astonished that can not comprehend what up to 30% means. This is simple language a child can comprehend.
I just bought a new Stihl Rollomatic ES Light to replace my original Stihl Rollomatic E Standard bar for my Stihl MS 362 C-M. I was really looking forward to adding a 30% decreased weight to an already light saw further increasing the power to weight ratio of this beast of a chain saw. So I get the new light bar and immediately weigh the bare bar on my wife’s kitchen food scale, with the light bar coming in at 32.9 ounces. So then I go to the shed and change out the new bar for the old, clean up the old bar real good, because I’m going to be weighing it on my wife’s food scale, and it comes in at 36.0 ounces, a whopping 3.1 ounces lighter, or an unimpressive 10%. Now I ask myself, why did I just pay $148, three times as much as I could have for a Standard bar, to save a mere 3.1 ounces? I was expecting the bar to be 30% lighter, which would have been about a 25 ounce bar. Stihl, you lied to me!
The light bars only offer weight savings with longer bars, 20" and under. There won't be much of a difference in weight.
a ported cs680 is a great 1 saw bag. you can easily get just over 1 more hp and they are torque beast across the whole rpm range
Got a 572/bullet proof. Next
Clear view thanks. But price is always high
What yr is that.
Hello Brett! It's a 23
@Andyshine77 is that an aftermarket tune, or update, not familiar with the new ones.
@brettblack7049 It's an aftermarket tune. The 3rd gen transmission is goofy from the factory it always tries to be in the highest gear for MPG's, but it just ends up shifting too much. The throttle input is also very slow to respond from the factory. This is good for rock crawling but not for around town use. The tune takes care of most of that. The tune also changes the engine's torque curve, which makes it have more grunt without having to rev as much. A lot can be done through tuning with modern engines. I had a 2010 with the 4.0 1gr-fe, and it had more grunt. The 3.5 is gutless without a tune. Now, it has some pep.
The 2nd gen benefits from tuning as well, but not as much as the 3rd gen, IMHO the 3rd gen requires it. overlandtailor.com/
@Andyshine77 interesting, thanks for the lesson. Many of the new rides have issues with the cylinder kill crap, I think the variable valve timing was a great system, then they added to many electronics on top of it...
Link for the dogs please
You have to order them from a dealership they're not available online
What ratio should I mix motul 710 in a ms 261c? 40:1 or 50:1?
40:1
Does it damage a 2 stroke engine to shut the fuel off and run it til it stops running? Thanks.
It can, as the fuel carries the lubrication.
Stihl rule
I’ll send 3 running 10-10’s for that poulan lol they’re not the most reliable but good saws maybe try the 605/610 series they’re very underrated but very powerful.
What if I mix some Lucas with yamalube how about mercury marine premium quicksilver
Just mix them all together and make a super blend like I do at the Slurpee machine
Next will be a splitter video?? 😉
I'm thinking about doing a series of videos like this. But thinking and doing are two separate things.😂
Cool video!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, my friend.
I've got around 8-10 cord here to split, and it just keeps piling up. I told my boy and wife early last week we are moving into splitting mode, so I started making preparations for that. Unfortunately I planned on starting Friday and it was raining all day after we finished up a storm damaged cherry removal. Tomorrow evening looks great though, 54 and clear. Have a great day.
Brett, it's good to hear from you! I have about that much sitting waiting to get split myself. I even picked up a new splitter a few weeks back. All the best, brother!
A viewer of Bjarne i see.👍
Now, how'd you guess that.😊
