Aegean A320 | Beautiful coastline on approach and landing at Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis (LGIR)
Landing at Heraklion Airport Nikos Kazantzakis in perfect weather conditions. During the descend you can see the Tripti Mountains in the background and after the final turn the Dikti Mountains being very close. The approach is amazing to look at, as it goes along the beautiful coastline and shows the terrain of eastern Crete.
By looking at the data on Flightradar24 it seems as if the pilots got vectored by ATC to conduct the VOR approach for runway 27, which begins in 2500ft. The pilot flying did a great job with a smooth landing, even tho the runway isn't the most even. Taxi was via B and D to stand 7.

I was under the impression regardless of National Carrier, cabin Announcements, can be spoke in national carrier language, but also by Aviation law should also be spoken in English afterwards, didn't hear any English Translations, is that normal?

just a correction, at 8:50 am you do not take off with TO/GA since the temperature is not high yet, you take off with FLEX which is a step earlier and that is for the protection of the compressor, the reduction in Acceleration is due to that Protection which I mentioned earlier and is the transition from the FLEX position to CLIMB, so that you maintain the rate of ascent and speed marked in the PREF of the CMDU of the Airbus up to the CRZ
I'm not sure if loaded A321 on that short runway would take off with Flex. Not sure at all

Of course it was TO/GA, you can judge by how fast the plane accelerated to around 150kt (average VR for a321) and by the sound of the engines.

Schön , ich liebe das Fliegen zum Urlaubsort . Ich hasse allerdings die überfüllten Sklavengaleren und Zwischenlandungen , schlechtes Wetter ist gewöhnungsbedürftig aber nicht schlimm . Am schönsten war´s nach Thailand ... Für First Klas reichts bei mir leider nicht ... schönes Video , ehrlich
sehr schön. diese kleinen flugzeuge sind im anflug sehr übersichtlich. ich kenne das noch aus der zeit der alten Eurowings (Sitz in Dortmund) vor der Jahrtausendwende. Da bin ich regelmäßig Kurzstrecke geflogen. Mit der ATR42 und 72. Das waren die besten aussichten.
Jetzt wissen wir warum der Kapitän für die technisch Interessierte gegen Ende des Condor Fluges so nebenbei erläuterte wie ein Flugzeug bremst - zum Stillstand kommt. Da der Flieger nur zu 25 % besetzt war, kann man das alles einsetzen. Er hatte sein Vorhaben also indirekt angekündigt und er hat es getan. Den A321-200 aufsetzen, voll in die Eisen gehen und den ersten Runwayabgang zum Terminal raus, alles im einen harmonischen fließenden Vorgang. Allerdings mußte er dann auf das Follow-me Fahrzeug warten. Hoffentlich sieht man das in Aufnahmen - die ich von Landung gemacht habe. Siehe: czcams.com/video/SQY6jJ-L4Mw/video.html

You can just tell by the sound and also, it’s at skiathos! :)
Its a guess. But with such a short runway and that sound its likely that they used toga or a very low flex temperature ;)
The extreme derate on climb also sort of gives it away. WOW

By regulation, they have to takeoff before the end, because incase of a rejected takeoff, they need enough acceleration stop distance. Best regards, captain Nawaf
@@Nawaf7fen yes the V1 speed I am aware, but at this particular airport rotation usually occurs further down the runway, thus 757 was probably lightly loads as only full TOGA power setting is permitted here.

Sorry for asking this ,but, How did you get the "Doppler Effect"/Flyby sound ? in default plane that i fly, i can only hear the engine roaring from a certain distance and i cant hear it from far away so in my case i cant hear my plane engine when it was approaching, i can only hear it whe it was near which is not realistic at all. is that only available in addon planes ? thank you Btw, i love your spotting view part!
