Hmmm...interesting...im assuming you are located in Canada or the USA? And you tried holding down the buttons for 3-5 seconds? I dont have any other suggestions. Sorry.

@SherwayNissan I'm in the UK, and I have tried holding the buttons for 3-5 seconds. The only result is the indicators flash in a different pattern but no sound, unfortunately

I dont know about any reversing beep unless you are talking about an aftermarket beeping module? Did you buy your car new or used?

Depending on the year model and trim, not all cars will have the sensor that warns you about it nearing an object. Please check your owners manual to see if you have this option on your trim line.

There is no way to adjust the volume of the horn. Im sorry.

It's hard to say how each car is equipped from different countries. Did you try looking through the owners manuel? This is something that has been standard on our cars in Canada for a very long time. I hope you are able to find it. Best wishes!

@@SherwayNissan unfortunately I don’t have the owner’s manual, I had bought this car used last year, and I’m guessing the previous owner either lost it or for whatever reason kept it with himself. The thing is, when I hold down on the lock and unlock buttons, after couple of seconds the hazard lights blink, exactly same as how you showed in this video, but just without any beep sound :(

@@SherwayNissan I’m guessing it might be a deleted feature for UK models? Or maybe just missing on my specific car for some whatever reason?

There might be a connection issue with the repair of the collision. You might want to get this checked out by your local Nissan Dealership.

There are settings where you can turn off some of your features. Im assuming the car is beeping for blind spot warning or forward emergency braking? That can be turned off on your menu display on the dash. As well as automatic car lock. Check your owners manual for exact instructions.

I dont think speed has anything to do with the sensors. If you have cleaned them, and you are still getting the beep, then I suggest you take it to your local nissan dealership to make sure the sensors are in working order.

What kind of Nissan do you drive? How old is it? Maybe you should get this checked out as it might be a small oil leak somewhere and is burning off as you drive it?

I would go to your local nissan dealership to check this out. Have you recently had a collision? This doesnt sound normal.

That doesnt sound normal. There might be a short circuit with the wiring and you should get this checked out by your local Nissan dealership. Do you have any aftermarket accessories (ie remote starter) or have you been in an accident where the bodyshop could have caused the issue? There are so many possibilities. Good luck.

did you try the instructions in the video? This should work for most nissan's that where built for the North American market, in particular Canada but it should work for the USA as well. It all depends on the year make and model of your car.

You might need to run this though a car wash to see if the sensors are dirty? If not, goto your local nissan dealership to see if the sensors are working properly.

Im not quite sure what you are speaking about? Firstly what kind of Nissan? Also are you talking about reversing? The only car that beeps when it's reversing are EV cars. If you need beeping sounds as your reverse you will need to install one aftermarket. Hope this helps.

If the Front radar in unavailable, then yes, your car collision warning system or your cruise control will not operate. Your emergence brake should work as that has nothing to do with your system. I would get your car check out by your local nissan dealership. There seems to be an issue especially when there is a light that says system fault.

Did you try going through a car wash. If it doesnt turn off then you should goto your local Nissan dealership to get it check out as it could be a faulty sensor.

@SherwayNissan the sensor is hidden behind the logo so not sure that could be the issue.

I cant really comment on this as there isnt enough information? I dont know if its a horn sound (as in this video) or a chime that might be going off if you have your direction indicators on and there is someone in your blind spot? Please goto your local nissan dealership to get this check out. I dont know what this symptom could be.

Most of our key fobs use a CR2032 3V battery. Did you try and reverse the battery?

Im not sure if the Maxima had that feature back in 2002. If you ever find out, please let us know!

depending on the model and year of your car, you car might have this feature where you can auto lock your car as you walk away. This will be found on the menu function on your steering wheel looking at the menu in your dash. Not all cars come with this feature so you have to double check if your car is applicable.

You can not turn that off unfortunately.

@@SherwayNissan Just read there is a sensor behind the bumper and you can access it through inside if you take off spare tire. People have posted on it and then just disconnnected the sensor.

Which beep volume are you speaking about? I am unaware of the ability to turn up or down any beeping volumes.

Your beeping sound stopped during a big snow storm? That doesnt sound right. Please goto your local Nisan dealership to get it checked out.

There is no way to adjust the back up beeping sound, as this is a safety feature of the car. Honestly its not that loud and should not disturb anyone at night unless your neighbours are super light sleepers!

That would be really hard to diagnose with so little information. Is the alarm aftermarket or standard feature on the altima? Are you pressing the correct sequence of buttons on the remote to start the car? Please go visit your local nissan dealership to get this checked out.

That seems like an odd coincidence. And how do you mean the trunk wont start? If your brakes are stuck in position, I would get your car towed to your local Nissan Dealership to get it look at right away. The Alarm and the braking system and truck function work independently of each other.

@@SherwayNissan my keyfobe remote won't lock or unlock the doors I have to use the button on the door hand to lock them and unlock k them it won't unlock my truck either.

We do not offer the Nissan Patrol here in Canada, so I am unaware of any features of this car. But head lights should automatically turn off (if you have it in the auto mode) after 5 minutes of exiting your vehicle (assuming you have turned off your car).

That is strange. Did you try repeating the steps? If the lights blink then the beeping should be off.

@@SherwayNissan I did try numerous times. I think I will try to reset the BCM by disconnecting the battery. If that doesn't work, I'll take it to a dealer to check the BCM. Thank you.

When you open the rear door, you will see a switch inside that say's child door lock. This is a feature in the car that will allow you to secure your car so your child cannot open the door from the inside. Sounds like your child seat lock is activated.

Yes that electronic beeping is a reminder that you have left your key in the car. The horn sound usually beeps when you lock your car. Some people dont want to have the horn sound on, so this is the way to deactivate the horn sound when you lock your car.

are you talking about the backup chime? unfortunately you can not turn that off as its a safety feature for people to hear you backing up.

Yes, if the sensor is not cleared, the cruise control will not operate as it works on the same sensor.

Any car was should do the trick. The sensor placement is different for every car, but usually its behind the front nissan logo if there is a glass protection. Otherwise its visible when you look though your front bumper.

You can't. That is a safety feature to warn other people around the car that you are backing up.

At least should reduce the sound volume, it interferes whoever is in sleep during the night@@SherwayNissan

hi Jose, im sorry, im not quite understanding your issue. Are you saying that this light is always on? If that is the case, you should get it check out by your local nissan dealership. There might be a faulty sensor.
