I wish NFL on CBS would bring back the pot and pan theme
So week 4 1986 was when they started the pots and pans intro
I don’t know the timestamps of touchdowns.
ReynaThompson..deserves HOF
Wondering why NY is wearing white at home?
Where is Cap Boso?
This is part one, where is part 2?
This game ended Danny White's career he was having a career year and after that broken wrist he was never the same
In 1979 the pass to Butch Johnson on third down would have been incomplete, the ball clearly hits the ground above his head.
Was Pat a little hung over during the opening commentary?
One of my favorite Super Bowls in the great venue of the Rose Bowl. I always found the daytime to nighttime Super Bowls to be the coolest
those games were epic, the superbowl was an afterthought
Chicago ...yes they were. 31-3
Going for at 4th and goal at the end was dumb. He learned his lesson as the NFC chamiponship showed! Go Giants!
2:06:30 Ah, when pro wrestling was shown on Saturday mornings. Those were the days.
O started rooting for the Giants ariund '67, as a young boy. When this turnaround started to happen I could hardly believe it.
Was Carthon holding on Joe's winning TD ? Also, why was LT not rushing the passer during Washington's final desperation drive ?
57:16 this looks a lot like the play 5 years later, when Leonard Marshall obliterated Joe in the NFC Championship Game.
Personal story. I had been a Giants fan since '68. Never been to an NFL game in my life. Was living near San Francisco at the time, working as a bus driver, and was assigned to drive a load of people to this game. After all the people had gone inside, I thought, I really have to get inside somehow. So I went over to the stadium, it was the 2nd or 3rd quarter, and started asking gate keepers if I could go in, until like the 3rd guy said, yeah, okay, go on in. I was a little disappointed, though. After decades of watching games on TV, the actual at the stadium experience was kind of a letdown. The players looked so small and far away. The Giants lost this one, but came back to Candlestick for the NFC Championship game later that year. "There will be no three-peat".
It seems weird how they didn't show replays, back then, of those two holding calls down the stretch.
I love watching these old school Giants games in my fan cave Go Big Blue💪🏿💪🏿 I hope Carl banks and Ottis Anderson get into the hall of fame.
This was the peak of NFL football at its best
As a diehard fan of the Landry era Cowboys, I tip my hat to the Niners of the 80s. Walsh was a wizard and Montana was the only QB as inspiring and spirited as Staubach.
Was this a 1pm or 4pm start?
One of the all time great football themes

Im just wondering if car manufacturers could lie about their mpg in the 70's? I was there and do not remember a 24 mpg Lincoln Continental? 29 mpg F150......
An epic game. The newspapers called it a Defensive Gem. I miss this time. Al Michaels called a good game and we still hear him call calling NFL games today. The other two were really annoying, constantly making negative comments, criticisms ,and judgements, pointing out mistakes. Madden and Sommerall were not so.
This is one of the greatest regular season games of all time!
Steelers sucked 85 through 88 If I didnt know better I'd assume Mike tomlin was coaching the team.
Scott Caampbell should be hall fame
Great memories. Thank you.
I miss the old CBS pre-and halftime show with Brent Musburger leading the way
The pinball theme is so classic in my mind. I miss Michaels, Gifford, and Dierdorf. The best broadcast trio in history.
1:08:58, Dick Enberg is FOREVER the greatest of all time!💯
First Giant Home Victry Since 1958
89 niners one of best if not the best or was the 90s nfl teams better be hard to say vs the 90s broncos or 92, 93 cowboys
Just found your page. WOW!😀
The best decade of NFL 80s niners, giants, bears, vs the 90s cowboys, broncos, Redskins 80s and 90s
Lesson for the Giants build from the lines out.
When football was football and I fell in love with the NY giants. Love from England.
PBP: Pat Summerall
The end of the Cowboys dynasty right here! A new version arrived about nine years later. I can't tell you how this game was the topic of conversation at my school the next day.
5:02 😂
@ 3:24:44 McKonkey has a Pistol 🔫 in his hand on the field and the security in the yellow jacket takes it from him and they all start walking away. 👈🏾
