"Moonlight Serenade" is an American popular song with original music by Glenn Miller and subsequent lyrics by Mitchell Parish. It was originally named "Now I Lay Me Down To Weep." When Miller recorded "Sunrise Serenade" in 1939, he placed this song on the back. It was an immediate phenomenon as an instrumental arrangement and was adopted as Miller's signature tune. no debi existir, no puedo darme el privilegio de saber eso, deberia hacer algo, deberia sentir menos, o no, no lo se, no se varias cosas, y me siento mal por eso, me siento mal por lo que hago y me siento mal por sentirme mal, no valgo tanto como para eso, despues de todo lo que hizo, la miseria es miseria, de ella la humedad no se quita y no quiero seguir manchando mas nada, se que diran que soy un c
Eu dançava essa música com meu marido. Agora ele mora no céu !
Just gorgeous…..what can you say?!❤

Favorite song Lady Bouvier
Amazing song, unforgettable memories!
WWII changed every American, both men and women. Millions of men went overseas for years. Those headed to the Pacific liked what they saw in California and decided to move there in the late forties, all through the fifties and it has continued ever since.
Sayed resive this song on the beach on "Lost" series season 2 E 13
Gives me chills!
I cannot listen to this music without tears in my eye's..The greatest generation ever
They don't make music like that anymore
The most beautiful music I ever heard
You know when music touches your heart, it's such a calming thing. GM seemed to do that quite a bit.
Cine a văzut "soy gitano " știe ca asta e melodia lui "Jano Amaya și Amparo " 😂❤
What a melody.
It's a shame that Captain Miller could not be here to see his orchestra play .
Did you know that the Glenn Miller "Sound" was replacing a LEAD TRUMPET with a Clarinet. The higher octave notes, blended with the trumpets ... to make that unique sound.
Eddie Durham!
A beautiful Song
The vibrato is so in sync, you can hear when the chord changes
This was played at my Dads funeral in 2016 😢❤
The "universal language".
My Father too💜 Vince Schoenstein, my Dad just passed last Christmas, 2022. He was 97 yrs. old, a WWII American Infantry Soldier and I'm his baby, the youngest of nine children. He met our Mother, Moira Wootten at a USO dance in Liverpool at the end of the war and three months later they married. Dad sent her home ahead to San Francisco, finished his deployment and together for the next 64 years they danced to Glen Miller every Christmas Eve. Watching my parents dance will always be one of favorite memories of them. Happy Anniversary♥️ and Merry Christmas Eve🎄 Mom and Dad X O X O X
Esta música me traz lindas e doces lembranças.
WOW. As a saxophone player, I played this and many others "in the day". I agree with so many others who have commented, this music will never die and can not be recreated.
My dad also..memoriws were not the best, but I could see a far away look in his eyes everytime he listened to Glenn Miller..the memories of the 40s must have run deep.
Not to be confused with the Steve Miller band.
This haunting music Is wonderful. Way before my time but I could listen to it all day. It is like velvet. It will never die. Thank you Glen Miller. ❤
Here's to the greatest generation mostly gone now but not forgotten
I heard someone say this about this song and I wholeheartedly agree with it: "This makes me nostalgic for an era I wasn't even alive for."
Moonlight Serenade playing in the background is from 1935
In 1939 this was the most popular. Just before the boys, who danced with girls, signed up. The ones who made it back were more damaged then anyone than anyone every has admitted.
Miss you Dad
Es hermoso e inmortal!
This song will always be a classic
Mom shared her love for these songs, and I fell in love with them also. Brings back memories.
Greatest musician in USA His musics still pray in all of the world
Who is the so clarinetist?
Remember to my father and my mother dancing, this melody in the years 50s
This was played for me at my daughter s wedding in2010
My uncle was a part of the Glenn Miller Orchestra for at least 10 years, I believe. He recently passed away. So it was really nice being able to see/hear this video of him playing with the Orchestra. He's in the middle row, 2nd trombone player when looking from left to right. At 0:52 they show a close up ❤ RIP uncle Cary. I love you!
Wow.
How fortunate for you to see your uncle playing some of the world’s best music with one of the world’s greatest orchestras! ♥🇺🇸♥
What an amazing story!
I guess I have an old soul 😊
GM Band was best band at time of WW2 and 50,60,70- - - - -
It makes me sad that they have Glenn Millers moonlight serenade playing in the background too. 😢
Heaven!
I loooooveee this song🥰
Imagine to be able to hear this live! Where have the orchestra days gone? My husband and I go to the Grand Hotel every year to get away and dance to the classics. They have a jazz band we enjoy and this song always takes me away. Truly the greatest generation. ❤
God bless all allied service men and women who served so gallantly and without self thought..
Kocham ten utwur (i te wartosci zycia)
I can play this song on the clarinet just like this soloist. I truly love this song. 💚💚
This song will always bring tears to my eyes. This is pure romance made into a song. So beautiful. Loving. Timeless.
