How they teach you to act in the event of a fire: *Walk in a single-file line, do not push or shove, and move calmly to the nearest exit.* How people ACTUALLY act in the event of a fire: *This class.*
While they were late but if there was a real fire like later in the movie you're not going to be calm and coming out in a straight line you're going to be running to get out! I give them credit for hurrying doing you're suppose to do when there is a fire
Lol this is how I felt when Teaching in summer camp the kids were crazy they were grabbing their backpacks and jackets while I was telling them to line up. I had a conversation with them saying that you listen And don’t grab anything we have to get out of the building quickly!
This was back in the 90s horns/strobes weren't very common except for newer buildings. My middle and high school in the 90s and 2000s was built in thr 60s and still had the old mechanical buzz that could barely be heard unless teachers kept the classroom door open no strobes either

Need to toss out respect to the two kids who did cartwheels on cue starting at 0:13. Never noticed that until now.
How to act in a fire drill: walk calmly Kindergarten: randomly jumping out the windows
Well, later in the movie during the fire, the kindergarteners are walking calmly, while everyone else is freaking out.
Its ah fiyyyaaa alaaam
Who knew that little “Gage” would become a muderer in the Pet Cemetery.

Why not use the typical strobe light fire alarm?
