I've created this channel to share some of my more interesting engine designs made with Angethegreat's Engine Simulator.
I prefer to build engines with unusual numbers of cylinders in various configurations. Very often, I continue to improve my designs even after posting a video of it and will sometimes share the updated designs depending on interest.

4 to 16 Cylinder Opposed VR Engines - Engine Simulator
Not really sure what to call this configuration since I've never seen it done before. I settled on "XVR" because it's essentially two VR engines opposed to make an X shape. Very similar to a boxer engine, but without 180° journals. Made with AngeTheGreat's Engine Simulator.

The biggest engine I've ever made in AngeTheGreat's Engine Simulator. It's so powerful that it can reach Mach 10.8 which also makes it my fastest engine. The dyno numbers are not accurate because it can't measure in excess of 10,000 Lb.-Ft. of torque. Literally just 6 Subaru EJ25 engines that fire their first cylinders 30° apart in a straight-6 sequence. Every other engine has its firing order flipped for better balance. Made with AngeTheGreat's Engine Simulator.

The VR engine developed by VW is a staggered inline engine. The VR actually stands for "Verkürzt Reihenmotor," which translates to "shortened inline engine." If you cut 2 cylinders off of one LS7 and glued the remaining 6 to another whole LS7, then proceeded to push the cylinder banks together from 90° to 51° and also happened to completely re-engineer the crank and camshafts, this is what you'll get. Engine runs on "45% nitro fuel" and is fitted into a Corvette (C8) chassis with a modified 6th gear and 3.42 dif ratio (transmission is from a C6). Ma...

Turns out I could, but it isn't worth it. The sound quality is just not good enough. But, it's still cool to see it actually run! 4 rows of 25 cylinders, 255.5L displacement, and more torque than the dyno can measure accurately. It's also the most cylinders ever simulated by anyone (as far as I know) in ATG's Engine Simulator.

I think the w3 engine crankshaft would be like W in one cranshaft, connecting rod just had 1 master rod and 2 slave, but it was not that I was expected to see

A 1.6L W3 makes 740 HP at 9,500 RPM? Did I read that right?
I'm very dissapointed that crankshaft offset angle was not taken into consideration. Especially in V8 engines, 90 vs 180 degrees make quite a difference in sound.
Doesn't look right: being a 4 stroke engine (I presume) the 3 cylinder should have a cycle with no ignition; for the same reason, the 5 cylinder should have 2 igniting at the same time...

Idk how often you check comments, but I kinda wanna see a flatplane W15, firing order being 1-6-11-2-7-12-3-8-13-4-9-14-5-10-15. Make it rev to 15k RPM lol.

Hey Shadow! I finally figured it out for you. It was a crankshaft issue all along. It uses a split pin system, and I had some of the journal positions backward on the first version. Now that it's fixed, it runs well.
@@icemanv93 have you been working on the flat-9?
Could you do this with boxer variations?
Just join a 4cyl to a 3cyl engine and you get a 7cyl without balance issues

It is lol I wanted to make a 7-bank version to mix it up. I have a 4-bank version in a different video called 14 cylinder engine battle. The crankshaft and exhaust design wasn't optimized yet in that video though.
Special request: Cadillac cross plane V8 from 1981 that had cylinder deactivation. V8-6-4. There are images on Google of the valve covers, the tall sections are the ones that deactivate the cylinder beneath them.
That would be cool, but displacement on demand isn't supported in this game unfortunately.

The 12 cylinder sounds fantastic. They all actually have a somewhat unique exhaust note to them. Like a w engine and a subaru engine mixed together. Do they have unequal headers too? Nice work btw

BIG WHOOPS. I meant to say I PERSONALLY love the VR14 engine, and VR18 isn't here, but would be cool if so!!!! I rushed to fast didn't noticed mistake. I plan on creating XH18 though, but that's gonna happen after LTSP6.2 release.
I did make 18, 20, 22, and 24 cylinder versions as well, but didn't include them here. They'll come later. Nice catch, I did put 15 instead of 16 haha I'll fix that. The i21 will come soon too.

Did I really said V18?!?! And V?!?! I meant VR14 engine most I love personally. I just noticed this mistake now since I tried being first, and due to rushing, and without reading video title, I made multiple mistakes.
