Fimi Mini 3 Testing Fixed Wing Flight Mode. This adjusts the controls & camera tilt to mimic flight in a fixed wing aircraft. It's really fun to use. It takes you away from that robotic directional movement that is so familiar with copters.

A second test of Orbit flight mode using the Fimi Mini 3. Again slight drift from the centre & some deliberate movement to adjust the radius & altitude during flight. Still some over exposed areas.

Fimi mini 3 testing the spiral flight mode. This slowly extends the radius & altitude. It seems to only have a maximum radius of 200m &, for now, it doesn't seem able to adjust the climb rate. More testing needed. Taken over Leeds LS16 near ASDA.

Fimi Mini 3 test flight. 50m altitude, so lots of obstacles, buildings & trees. 2.5km range. Sadly I did not note the operating frequency, but I think it was 5.8ghz. I shall do a clearer LOS range test. Battery level was still approx 65% after trip out & return. Unedited, unprocessed video. Straight from SD card. Video in 4k 60fps.

Very nice video, how far out did you fly here and did the drone return to home on its own or did you activate it?
I forgot to take note of the distance. But looking at map, it was about 2.5-3 km. Too low altitude and trees prevented further distance. RTH kicked in by itself but I disengaged nearer home for more flying fun as I still had 70% battery.
@LeeRoper Did you happen to own the v1 or v2 of this drone and did you get similar range like this one with them?
@@garyjohnson9196 no, sorry. I have, and still fly, the Fimi X8 SE 2019 special edition. Battery duration and signal strength of the mini 3 is far superior to that one. I still like to fly the old x8 as it’s waterproof and can withstand stronger winds.
My old school mate lived at number 1 on that street. The house the drone was launched on was used in a TV series back in the 80's. I remember walking over to watch them. Not a clue what tv show it was.
Not quite this house. It was the house opposite. The TV programme was called "Get Lost".
Great quality video. I was obsessed with that tower as a kid. It looked very different then. I used to live nearby but I can still see it from the back of my home now. When I was at the old Ralph Thoresby, it used to give off the nuclear bomb warning when we had practices at school. We had to get under the table (because that was sure to save us!)
I remember the siren alert. Nobody else believes me that it regularly tested the air raid siren.
@@LeeRoper They certainly did. It was eerie to say the least. But the Holt Park Middle School had a warbler to let you know break time was over or as part of the emergency evacuation. That was also eerie and very futuristic in the 70's.
@@RedversCross haha. Don’t I know it. I got detention once for dancing like Kate bush to it when we were supposed to be lining up to go back into school.

Nothing strange about them really, it's where the game keepers burn the heather for the grouse to live, so they can shoot them! - you can see the shooters huts at end of video.

Very lucky shot getting two trains passing like that! However, isn’t using a drone near Bramhope tunnel inappropriate given the location and the location of Leeds Bradford Airport? I think you’ll find you’ll be in a no-fly zone.
Love seeing these videos of an area I used to visit regularly as a kid and have fond memories of.

I took a bus from Ripon to Harrogate today and although it was a delight to see the village, can't believe they allow two double decker busses to rattle their way through the village in either direction every ten minutes. I must ruin the tranquillity of the place. I guess it brings trade but there's a main road that passes right by the edge of the village. No reason people can't get off there and walk a few hundred yards in.
What are the platforms at 0:30 Lee ?

@@LeeRoper ok , how far would you say it is from the runway ? ( looks like 6 fields away ) possibly 1km max meaning your flying illegally and endangering aircraft as theres a 5 km exclusion near airports meaning youre not only unable to calculate distance but youre irresponsible as well.
