the tree you got fr om ribeira brava , have the same bug that you already are trying to get rid off from the Goiaba tree at your garden. just spray them with soap mix with water, or wash the leaves and branches. the tomatos need to be in full sun, lots of air circulation, and no shade, thats why you have mildew on their leaves. hope this help, soon you pick to sweetcorn, cut the plants down and the tomotoes will due well. hope this help

You paid quite a lot for those plants, do you know that there is a government founded tropical sperimental fruits and herbs in Madeira where you can pick up herbs for 56c and plants for 3 euros including dragon fruits and all the plants you got there ....is not far from cooperativa in Sant Antonio

You need to hire a professional to handle that roof issue and the wall. That roof is a disaster to begin with, looks like multiple failed attempts to fix it by others.

How do you find the healthcare system? A tour guide told me that it was terrible. He was in pain for a couple of months before he would be operated on and he still had medical bills to pay as we spoke. He didn’t have anything good to say about the government either but then who these days is happy with their government?

I have a question, do you think its possible to grow veggies and fruits all year round in Madeira?

Damn it. I would die from such a cockroach! I can't imagine how you keep it so close. I wonder if there is any solution to get rid of the complete zero in such a house? I've been living in a condo in Thailand for half a year now and there hasn't been a single cockroach in all that time. It is obvious that the management company is poisoning them with something. Since I moved out of another condo on the 14th floor because there were such huge cockroaches and I couldn't sleep.

I like your videos from Madeira.Especially the gardening part I like beacause I have my own garden north of the arctic circle. Have you considered cardboard gardening? With cardbord as a cover material you have controll over your weeds you dont want in an enverionmental way. In a year the carboard have been disintegrated into soil and the weeds under are gone. Best of all you dont need to use cemicals to get rid of weeds. Its a lot of videos of cardboard gardening on youtube. By the way did you plant your poteto parts ? I went to Madeira last November and I like this island a lot.. I will go there another time.

Madeira is interesting as the wetness & humidity combined can cause similar issues to old UK houses with damp walls, rot etc. I also see a lot of houses built on hillsides, and i can only imagine when it rains heavy how troublesome that could be :P

Brian is truly huge, Yvonne doesn't seem to be phased by them, but the little buggers just unnerve me to an embarrassing degree. I've heard if you sing Abba songs to them, they just leave on their own accord. So give that a go.
