I think I may practice on a local 3 meter spring board for a few weeks, then go back and get a better result. It's been 25 years since I did this last...my timing is just way off. :)

Did the mother reject the fawn because you pet it? We are not supposed to touch them.
Mom came and got her shortly after I left. Zero issues at all.

@@bieszczadzkiearchiwa from what I've read, you're right, it's a myth. Fawns are essentially "scent free" at birth and what CAN happen is a human scent that gets on them MAY allow a predator to smell them more easily. But that scent will not cause a mother to reject a fawn.
I ❤❤❤ deer, especially their cute little fawns! I agree with the commenter that said he's a beautiful buck! I'm glad that his Mom returned! 🙃🌝👌
This is why we dont eat animals they have feelings to! animals are our friends not food :)

Just an update in case folks were curious. Within an hour of this happening, the mom came back and the two went on about their day/lives. I've seen them since then, and all is well!

It's pretty steep, and this young woman has been on about 15 rides TOTAL in her life. She's having a blast and is a really quick learner.

That is an absolutely gorgeous area to ride, what trail system is it?
It's the Hatfield McCoy system in WV. This area is the Rockhouse Trailhead. The town of Man, WV is at one end, and Gilbert, WV is the other. See www.trailsheaven.com

Not sure it has a name. At the start you have to roll over these large boulders / wiggle between them. You'd know it if I posted that part for sure. Pretty sure it's never been named though.

Hey I remember you from the gas station! Yeah we had an absolutely amazing trip. Got into some wild shit and it all worked out. :) The guy who did the ADV thread is AK and his camera is freaking amazing those pics are pro level.

That thing was massive. I'm surprised he didn't swallow me whole.
I know where this is. I never tried it, but a guy on a quad tried to go down it, then decided it was too steep, but when he tried to turn, it flipped. He got free, but the quad went end over end down into the woods. We worked for a long time to get it back over to this trail, little harm done amazingly. He learned a lesson....lol

Dude, you killed your momentum at the bottom turning into the hill. That's a tough one, no doubt, but especially on a 125, you have to keep your momentum up as much as possible. Good job keeping after it!!

Ha!! The gopro is on the chin bar so it catches waaaay too much of my breathing. :) My heart rate probably saw 150+ on that section, it's not real easy trying to get a bike down terrain like that.

Ha! My buddies were ready to go so I didn't get to make more attempts. I didn't post all of the runs I did, I hit it like 9 or 10 times. I've gotten up it before but there was a soft / muddy spot before the last pitch that kept getting me squirrely and killing my drive. I'll get it next time I think. :)
